The GOPe can of course push for their choice which is usually who is next in line. But then we had how many debates in the GOP primaries? 2 dozen? Every candidate who polled with some decent numbers was included in debates. They all had chances to make their case.

Wake up and smell the coffee, Romney won because he got more votes than the others. I voted for him in general anyway because to me he was better alternative to the radical socialist and abortionist from Chicago.

Romney won because the GOPE systematically destroyed every other candidate and ensure Romney would be the last man standing.
Did you not noticed how one after another, only weeks apart, was taken down? They did exactly what the demonrats do.
This is a problem with the GOPE party. And until that root cause is fixed, they will continue to destroy TEA Party candidates and other true conservatives and ensure we have only RINOs to vote for. They are confident that we will hold our noses and vote for the lesser of two evils.
