IMHO, requiring only 58 correct answers sets a very low bar.
I also got 90 of 96. Apparently those 60s/70s civics classes left an impression!
Passed it, but only had to answer one question — the most difficult one!
Who was it that stated, “give me liberty or give me death!”? Patrick Henry
The tester knew I was from Canada, already knew English, that I had been educated and living (legally!) in the US since I was nine, and that I had studied the citizenship test thoroughly.

I answered them all correctly. It took wayyyy too long.
Hubby and I were at a Mexican restaurant a day or so after Election Day. Hubby had his “I Voted” sticker on the outside of his wallet. The guy at the register commented on it and said he is three months away from being eligible to vote. He said he has 150 questions to study and that he will be given 5 out of that 150 and that he must answer all five correctly. He is a bit scared about that part, but he seems like a bright guy. He speaks English well. I figured he was already a citizen based upon his demeanor. Ironically, that same day, there were three Mexican men discussing how one of them needed to present himself in case someone questioned his presence in the US. Their conversation ended when hubby sat down. LOL

I would not pass because I’m not Mexican.
It was the question about which power belongs to the states.
I answered raise an army, because I was thinking that the states can have militias with officers from the states, but that the President can assume control in times of war.
Their answer was to provide schooling and education. I didn't realize that that was a "power," but I should have used process of elimination to arrive at that answer.

FWIW (and that ain’t much), the OldPossum scored 100%.
The questions are designed so that everybody can pass the test. It would require a true idiot to fail this test.
