As negotiations continue over how to thwart the looming crisis known as the fiscal cliff, President Barack Obama will take his case on the road this week, urging Americans to support his push to let tax rates rise on the wealthiest Americans.
The president will tour a manufacturing facility and give remarks in the southeastern Pennsylvania town of Hatfield on Friday, the White House announced Tuesday. The campaign-style trip comes as another example of the president building pressure on Congress through public support, rather than the behind-closed-doors approach used in last summer's debt talks.

If there are no real spending cuts, it will show the world that this country is unserious about tackling runaway debt, that buying our debt is a bad idea, this economy will crash sooner or later.

Obama and the Democrat Party anymore are nothing but a permanent, endless, endless campaign.
Which is why they kick our arse frankly. The rest of us prefer to have some type of life in between elections. We don’t lay awake in bed at night thinking of new political “gotchas”.
Who runs the ship when the rest of them are gone? No wonder this country is gone astray, there is NO CAPTAIN.

Sen Inhofe has a list of unnecessary Spending items, yet where are they, what is he doing about it. We all know the massive expenditures on the stupid things, as well as the massive outlays to foreign countries. STOP THAT FIRST, then we can talk.
Alas, they won't. First thing they will do is give themselves a HUGE pay raise, count on it.

Some people genuinely hold the axiom “I’ve decided what I’m going to spend money on, things cost what they cost, and so long as I can buy them I’ll do so”; if there isn’t enough money or credit, then it’s somebody else’s fault for not providing enough and it’s up to other people to cough up enough. The credit card keeps working, checks keep cashing, they don’t care why and they don’t care what the looming consequences are. Cutting back is not an option to them - it all revolves around the notion “things cost what they cost”. Anyone who interferes with this cash flow in any way for any reason will be dealt with in a vicious manner - which is why those of us holding the “spend less than revenue” axiom will put up with their uncontrolled destructive behavior: given time, we hope to find a palatable solution, rather than canceling the credit line right now and face their wrath.
Utterly stupid, but many people do in fact think this way.

Assuming there’s not enough revenue raising to slow our borrowing, additional borrowing by our government will result in increased interest demanded by our lenders, and eventually some lenders will refuse to lend more.
That’s when America will really be stuck. Sooner or later the Obama supporters who are also handout receivers will learn a hard lesson. The political question is, who will they blame?
Hope the McCoys will be there to welcome him...

Spending needs to be cut (there is PLENTY of waste that can be cut); energy sources on OUR soil need to be tapped; states need to reject ObamaCare...how about a SERIOUS ‘Grace Commission II’ with some REAL teeth?

When they run out of access to money.........Bankruptcy court will bail them out.........start all over, no problem.
The question is now: What in the HELL are we going to do about it? We keep saying over and over and over it needs to stop. Maybe with the next election. blah, blah, blah.
It will never STOP until we take it into our own hands and protest, riot or whatever it takes.
The Tea Party rallies were great and they saw the masses of NICE people, that sure scared them/sarc. Being NICE gets us nowhere.
THEY hear us, they know what we want, but deliberately ignore and LAUGH at us, "well we tried", time to move on.
I'm old and I don't give a rats behind what happens to all of Congress, the entirity can be demolished for all I care anymore. Independence Day, start all over.

Are we all tired of the "Wait until the next election" talk? Probably, but we are being pacified and lulled, to sleepppppp, yawn. Being patient and NICE don't cut it anymore.
