NO NEW IMIGRATION LAWS!!!!

Fully enforce existing laws with fines for hiring an illegal, 1st offense and prison for 2nd offense and the illegals will self deport in quick order.

Quit catering to the criminals!

Shades of amnesty. I expect many GOP lawmakers to resist an Obama comprehensive immigration plan. At least I hope they will. Had Romney been elected, comprehensive immigration might have passed by acclamation.

We're in for a fight.

Maybe they should have to agree to never apply for US citizenship.

I like that. Which means it's probably a pipe dream.

Republicans need to focus on immigration bills that only allow naturalization and legalization to those who are likely to be against the welfare state. But how do you do that? College graduates with advanced degrees mostly voted for O.

Unless Republicans figure that out -- and contrary to what they seem to think, it's not easy -- we are going to be steamrolled. We will suffer the consequences. Our masters, not so much.

One problem is that many highly educated immigrants have relatives living in poverty back home. Another problem is the ideology on college campuses.

And as I pointed out on that other thread, most of the jobs requiring advanced degrees and paying good $$$ in the Maryland/Northern VA area are funded by either the state or Federal government.

So you bring over bright ambitious immigrants and send them to college up to including advanced degrees (I know a few of them here who never paid a dime for it), then they get a gubment job, and you know who they are loyal to. (hint :Maryland)
It doesnt matter if they are not on food stamps or welfare, they worship ‘the great provider’ and offer it thei votes as tithings.

The Republicans real problem is not that we are short immigrants, its that they dont have a clue on how to recruit others to their views, to the extent that they have (as a whole) consistent ones.
