Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash sued over new underage sex allegation (THIRD accuser)

"Sesame Street" puppeteer Kevin Clash has been hit with another lawsuit over allegations he carried out a sex act on an underage boy, according to the New York Daily News.

The man behind the beloved character Elmo became embroiled in a sex scandal earlier this month after he was accused of having relations with a 16-year-old male seven years ago, when Clash was 45. The allegations were subsequently recanted, but a second man, Cecil Singleton, claimed he had a sexual phone chat with the star in 1993 when he was only 15, and he sued Clash for $5 million.

The double sex scandal prompted Clash, 52, to leave the show, and now a third man has accused the puppeteer of improper conduct. In the papers, filed at a federal court in New York on Tuesday, the man -- referred to as 'John' in the documents -- claims Clash invited him to his apartment after they had a phone conversation, when the plaintiff was aged 16. John, now 28, alleges Clash plied him with alcohol and "groomed him" before engaging in "sexual contact."

I find both Sesame street and Dr seuss an insult to human intelligence. It's called "dumbing down".

Mr. Rogers is probably my all time favorite for learning and ethics. And he was right....what was available for children was awful. Too bad there are no Mr. Rogers for today.

Then we had the good stuff for the oldsters...The Fonz, The Brady bunch etc....except when we found out what kind of people some of them really were, it was sure a disappointment.

I think #1 ended up refusing the payment agreement and retraction when #2 came out, right before he signed on the dotted line. Maybe he had been convenced that it was just a misunderstanding on his part. Then another victim coming out showed him it wasn’t.

As then, as now, bring me someone who is a current or recent victim, not one from nineteen years down the road or even a dozen years ago. Bring documentation. Show the evidence.

Each of these sudden accusers are in their mid-20s or beyond, with dollar signs in their eyes via civil suits.

We do service to justice by being skeptical whether the accused is the Duke LAX team, George Zimmerman, Herman Cain or the (former) voice of Elmo.

"He's weird and accused of heinous, perverse things so he must be guilty" is how the Left reacts. Sorry but I remember local cases like the infamous Dale Akiki and McMartin Pre-School trials too well.

So do I and as I noted it reminded me of the accusers not in any fact or fiction guilt or innocent. As for Cain, I did not put in the michael jackson accusers or Lance Armstrong’s.

My question is: If this puppeteer actually did these things, why is it only a matter of paying off the victims? Shouldn't there be some kind of criminal investigation?

Either way, will Sesame Street pay the men off, or the taxpayers who fund PBS?
