San Francisco can require handgun owners to keep their weapons locked when stored at home and can ban bullets that expand or splinter on contact, a federal judge has ruled in rejecting a National Rifle Association-backed effort to block enforcement of the local gun laws.

I recall the Heller decision specifically forbidding laws which required handguns to be locked up in the home. It is not reasonable to expect people to wear a holstered gun while sleeping.

It will be overturned (at least it should).

BTW: I’m to the point where I’m fine letting these big cities take the guns out of law abiding citizens hands and letting the criminals be the only one with guns. It is sure to lead to the decay of their city.

“Laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding...”

“Judges in every State shall be bound thereby...”

“The Right of the people to Keep and Bear Arms shall not be infringed.”

Impeach the judges who rule against the above. They are acting FAR beyond their mandate.

Not good enough, Here we have a Federal Judge who Willfully, Knowingly, and deliberately issued a Ruling in direct contradiction of a Recently Decided Supreme Court Precedence, one in which HE is REQUIRED TO UPHOLD AND ENFORCE IN HIS RULINGS. He belongs in PRISON.

You are correct, but the “judge” in this case is an Obama appointee and hence illiterate.

What would you expect?

On August 7, 2009, President Barack Obama nominated Seeborg to be a United States district judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

"...and can ban bullets that expand or splinter on contact..."

..because rounds that over penetrate are so much more appropriate in apartments and other urban areas with high concentrations of people...and ignoring the fact that this amounts to a ban on pretty much all hunting bullets. I can't wait to watch the NRA sue them for attorney fees after this stupidity is undone.

Wait, wait, what about the hollow points that the SS, NSA, and other agencies just bought? You mean they can’t use them in SF?

100% of the people in the US are in violation of some law, so they can choose to prosecute anyone that does not Kow Tow.

Lets play the left’s game and go on the offensive. The 2nd ammendment guarantees the right to keep and bear arms, but not all Americans can afford to exercise this right. We need to demand that the govt provide guns for free or at a greatly discounted price to eligible American citizens. And of course having a gun is useless without ammunition so that should be provided as well. The left considers free contraception to be a right but that is nowhere to be found in the constitution. How can they deny us free guns and ammunition?

Another renegade judge legislating from the bench. Gee, I wonder why politicians and judges are so worried about citizens having hollow-point bullets? The Feds are certainly okay using them, if recent purchases are any indication. I love this country, but the government scares the crap outta me.
