I still wonder how much of this story is one of scum-on-scum where all knew the others were scum.

Well, there's scum and then there's scum.  The woman here does seem to be of questionable character, but that's hardly a capital offense.  If the reports are accurate, what these men did is so totally over the line that it's difficult for me to go beyond that.  Not trying to make a negative statement by acknowledging this mindset though.  It seems as though she could have been willing to go for the exchange, and yet these guys were so vile that they opted for the kill instead of the pleasure.  Of course that's ignoring the fact they could have gotten their jollies just by the virtually Satanic act of murder.

They lured their quarry with a promise of cocaine.

Yes they did.  And she used poor judgment for the very last time.

Try that with the average Jane in a bar and see how quick you get busted or stinged.

Yeah, I hear ya.  They were certainly willing to take a big chance here weren't they.  Too bad it wasn't a sting.

Was there some vendetta, against other druggies or pushers maybe, that the thrill killers wanted to avenge with their thrill.

I suppose it's possible.  Whatever the motive though, the experience for the woman wouldn't change, and it's her experience that motivates my tenacious vindictive nature.  This really angers me.

Screwing with someone for personal gain is one thing.  Taking the life of another person just for jollies, or even just to get even with a third party, now there's some depraved acts.

Still, any sane justice system would have done away with the killers or be marching them in that direction given whatever external court hurdles are inevitable.

I agree.  These guys should be toes up six feet under.

hey, blue & grey potpourri, what i mean is it sounds logical that they picked someone who they already knew was interested in the coke, and not as in cola. why else take such an idiotic risk (oops, officer mary, who came when straight arrow susan complained about being offered coke, we wanted to thrill kill you). some digging might even turn a story like that up. if the liberals saw it as scum vs. scum they might be a bit more lenient on the surviving scum. just sayin.
