It struck me as a possible odd consequence of the Democrat take on drugs, which while sometimes blamed for being “soft” on immorality, actually misplaces moral responsibility from a person who misuses a chemical to the chemical itself. It is as though the chemical could leap out of a test tube and seize someone by the neck.

Then, with the chemical thus demonized, the woman into the coke could have been seen as a dabbler in a demonic death powder rather than the person with lack of self control she was. So now she’s an extreme bad thing (in the liberal mind) as are the thrill killers.

It isn’t true social conservatives who spearheaded the stuff about demon rum and reefer madness. It was progressives looking for an easier scape goat than the difficult moral task of learning self control in a dangerous world.

Yeah, you resembled potpourri :-)

Thanks for the explanation.

I often use blue and gray, so you’ll see it again soon I’m sure.
