Senator Susan Collins Goes Back To Africa To Raise Questions About Susan Rice Nomination

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice, also the top contender to replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, had another meeting on Capitol Hill Wednesday morning, with moderate Republican Senator Susan Collins of Maine. Following that meeting, Sen. Collins told reporters that she “continues to be troubled” (hmm, sounds familiar) about Ambassador Rice’s post-Benghazi talk show appearances, and opened another line of attack on Rice’s prospective nomination: her tenure as Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, during which bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania occurred.

From Bloomberg News:

"When Rice was confronted with the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania while she was assistant secretary of state for Africa, she took over the State Department crisis-management operations center, Clarke said. She was responsible for sending in Marines, closing down other U.S. embassies in Africa and mobilizing aircraft to ferry out the injured, he added.

“When she actually has responsibility for security, she does a spectacular job,” Clarke said."

Benghazi Rice has been near the fire before in 1998, maybe she's ready to "POP" now, and Kerry will have to slide right in.

collins likes her. That is the bottom line. No matter how many 'questions' she has, collins is a wastoid and will do what she always does...the wrong thing.

Anyone wanting on or off this ping list, please advise.

The Gang of RINO’s who look for any, any excuse at all to join the rats are having problems with this. lolz. All they needed was a teeny weeny rope to grab hold of and they were offered none.

I am sure some of these weenies will still vote to confirm if it comes up.

I don’t know...on national security she’s usually pretty reliable. That’s about the only thing, though.

I completely agree. GOPers are fond of spouting out how “troubled” they are about a nominee. And they`ll claim to maintain their troubled-ness as they vote for confirmation.

They did this with Geithner, Holder, Sotomayor and Kagan. My prediction is they`ll once again jump down their favorite rabbit hole and vote 68-32 to confirm Rice for SOS. Black, woman, nominated by He from On High. Must get into the cooperative spirit, and all that rot.

Susan Rice is a racist.

And by the way, why focus on RICE? She is doing what her idol Obamugabe WANTED her to do.

While Collins is back to Africa, maybe she can stop by Kenya and pick up Obama’s Birth Certificate....

Susan Rice was the advisor who counseled Bill Clinton to run away from labeling the murder in Rwanda as “genocide” because the term (acknowledging the fact of) “genocide” would make Clinton look bad for doing nothing

... and of course, there was Bubba’s reelection to consider.....

So - 800,000 African souls went not-so-gently into the night with little but jawboning from Bubba

I think the Jarrett/Soros plan is, if Rice becomes SoS she will devote her tenure to getting the US and our greatly reduced DoD money out of the planned muslim caliphate and entrenched into various no-win African fuster clucks

Plus, Rice is stupid and incompetent and thus the US Dept of State will be easily controlled by stronger minds and hands hand behind the scenes

Bill Clinton and Susan Rice are Rhodes “Scholars”. Cecil Rhodes had more than just a passing interest in what went on in Africa. He had in mind an Anglo-Saxon “New Jerusalem”.

Rice is already “....controlled by stronger minds and hands hand behind the scenes.”

"And by the way, why focus on RICE? She is doing what her idol Obamugabe WANTED her to do."

While Republicans are busy eating their own over the lost election, and Fox News is chattering on and on about the "fiscal cliff", the lottery, persons of the year and important stuff like that, let's pull at a loose thread through a flanking attack and see if the bloody traitor's regime comes unraveled.

Who knew a "blue dress" would have "caught" Bill Clinton's eye?

It's about blood, not semen now.

Exactly. They will offer their "harsh criticism" to appease us peasants out here, but in the end, they will approve of any nominee Obama sends before them. We are being ruled by a single Party. There is only the illusion that this country has a Two-Party system, at least at the Federal level.
