While modern society prides itself on being unbiased, it's no exception to the rule that every age has its fashionable prejudices -- and unfashionable people. Among the latter today are white men, and the closer they are to "dead white male" status, to use a favored leftist descriptive, the greater the disdain in which they're held.
Thus do we see sneering at "old white men." Earlier this year, Senator Harry Reid -- one well acquainted through experience with old-white-male machinations -- complained of "angry old white men" who bankroll conservative causes. More recently, the old-white-media paper the Guardian published a piece about America's changing demographics titled, in part, "No country for angry old white men...." Ah, yes, it's not just that they're old, white, and men, that Triad of Turpitude. They're "angry," too. So just dismiss them out of hand, with their agenda born of blinding, irrational hatred. It's another example of projection, from the group (leftists) that makes intellect-clouding emotionalism an art.
If we're to define matters based on group identification, however -- and the left makes clear we will -- there is an irony here.
You could roughly say that old white men built the whole modern world.
You can precisely say this if you include in the category the budding old white men known as younger...

There are reasons why the world shook out like it did.
I completely agree with you; I don’t intend to go quietly (and I’ve bred in preparation).
It is weird to see NY go back to feudalism, with their hands out to those who live in the manor, seeking assistance from their benevolent despots for electricity and fuel. NJ was back on its feet much more quickly because so many of us left NY for the very reason that we didn’t want to live on a feudal manor anymore (and people refused to do so). Our gas lines had cops all over them because we left NY for this very reason (so we could drive cars, pay low gas taxes - among the lowest in the country - etc.). Our governor (not a mayor who overturned term limits because he wanted to prolong his reign) responded accordingly...
“Feminism” worked well; now those same hags are whining because nobody will impregnate them. They are living the lives of white men (no excuse to leave the office early due to sick children), and they are HATING it. Who cares? I’m glad they get to pass schoolyards full of Hispanic/Asian children every day on their way to work, while the mothers of those children (while many work) get to raise the children American women CAN’T have because nobody is stupid enough to give them to them.
Elections (and laws, and “cultural shifts”) have consequences.

What Betty Friedan did was so horrendous, so horrific, she deserves a separate hell all her own, with fresh Lucifers and fresh Belials and Belfogars all conjured from the Eternal Mind, just for her, all for her, to balance the scales for what she did. She may have committed "policide" or "democide" -- the murder-by-poison (mental poison) of a people.
White men did not choose to be white or male, but old white men chose to be old. It’s their own damned fault.

Even now, whenever I see Patricia Heaton on TV in some other show, I get an instant "cold-on". What a hag, what a nasty little beastwoman. Women like her used to get shaken out early in life and wound up in convents or nunneries ("nunneries" in the Chaucerian sense, as in "get thee to a ...."). Or drudging some guy's slate floors and getting jumped on and rogered by his sons, and bearing bastard lordlings out in the barn.

Actually, Patricia Heaton is a Republican in real life; however her character on that show (I watched it ~1.5 times total; never found it funny) is a nattering bitch-a-roo.
It’s grey tufted geezer season and the dems are only selling hunting licenses to the young, dumb and fashionable. Sad.
