Sen. DeMint: Washington Is Lost for Now

“We’ve lost the battle in Washington” for now, says Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C. The new goals, he says, are for conservatives to prove their principles work in states and to defend against President Obama’s effort “to steamroll what’s left of the Republican Party here in Washington.”

As a guest on “Istook Live!,” DeMint agreed that Obama aims to crush his opposition now so they cannot resist his agenda over the next four years. Said the senator, “They smell blood in the water and they’ll keep pushing … they’re not coming our way or coming to the middle to try and govern.”

However, he acknowledges that a “very few” Republicans will go along with the president’s tax demands—but only those officials who “probably aren’t real Republicans” in the first place. …

What is needed is AMERICAN JOBS.

Bring back US jobs now. Stop sending American jobs overseas.

And bring back jobs which have been exported.

Now.

Some people around the edges of conservatism are now going to read the tea leaves and jump to the stronger horse. They will see better opportunities for themselves in trying to ingratiate themselves in the government sector than in private business. They will become hangers-on and supporters of BigGov.

This will take us past the 51% tipping point. We are now living in a Euro-style Social Democracy and likely will for the rest of our lifetimes.

This isn’t just the GOP and it didn’t just happen now. What we’re about to experience is the culmination of 100+ years of an unrelenting push for the Progressive agenda. At the very least the war was lost decades ago when Progressives reached the tipping point in their infestation of acadamia.

Probably not that long. Who is going to fund our continued existance under this European social democracy? America? Best be thinking in the short term. Namely: today.

I think the age that is being bantered around is 55. After that, it will cost your every possession to remain living...for a while.

These guys have been and are more serious than we are.

I meant every congress person should vote honestly. Jim DiMint should vote his beliefs. Then he should expose those who don’t. Name names!

Who cares why any of that is the case?

Those republicans, as well as republicans in Washington, are utterly powerless.

They cannot do anything at all to resist the communist take over of the USA, so their existence is moot.

Let’s be proud of all the pawns we have on the board, meanwhile the enemy has all queens...

That is the sleeping giant I referred to, and the action that you speak of should have been taken as early as the 1920’s.

Allowing others to plot against your freedom because they have the right to do so is absolute suicide.

If a people is to remain free, then the enemies of freedom must know is no uncertain terms what the result of plotting against freedom is.

Allowing others to plot against your freedom because they have the right to do so is absolute suicide.

A fact that was well-recognized a half century ago:

"No Communist, Fascist, or any other totalitarian committed to the destruction . . . of the principles and practices of democracy should be permitted to teach in a democracy. Freedom does not imply freedom to destroy freedom." -- Dr. Clarence R. Decker, President of the University of Kansas City, 1949

Excellent. That is exactly right.

What those people are spreading is a very carefull crafted organic malicious code that is self replicating, self propagating, it exploits known flaws of the human psyche, and to allow it to exist and spread means that you will soon be outnumbered by it and held captive to it.

There are two remedies for this malicious code that a society can take. The first is to eliminate the sources of it immediately and without mercy. The second is to spread counter code in the same manner. Without any sources of counter code, there is no hope at all, because the few who do know the counter code will eventually die, and they will not be replaced because those replacements were never made.

Yes I know that I am comparing this to a computer virus and even an organic virus, because that is essentially exactly what it is.

True, until those state legislatures start contemplating secession.

True, but even then it will not be easy at all.

All of those elected representatives of the people of each state can be overruled by a single appointed judge.

They are utterly without power in this coutnry.

Just ask Bobby Jindal about that.

All it would take is one governor to run a Federal judge out on rail and start a Constitutional crises over the 10th amendment, which is WAY over due.

Yes, agreed, but thus far those wish to remain free have not demonstrated that they have the mettle required for such.

But even still, extremely problematic cases do not always stem from federal judges, sometimes state judges can be equally as tyrannical, and I point to the case of terry Schaivo for evidence of that.

I think that if people could not and did not take back power in that instance, then it’s hard for me to imagine an instance in which they would. If that can be done to her, then it can be done to any of us.

Another person only has as much power over you as you give them. The time has come to take it all back.

Relief from Federal tyranny will come at and from the state and the 10th amendment. The political battlefield has a Federal hill and 50 state hills that have been dormant for 150 years. Time to clear the brush form those “other” hills and dig in.

The ONLY reason this is happening in WASH DC is because there is NO REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP.

I have come to believe that is not true - The Republican leadership is taking us exactly where they want to go... leading us kicking and screaming... leading us in spite of our objections.

What is the problem is that there is no Conservative leadership in DC, because the Conservatives are never allowed close enough to the levers of power to be able to effect any change. That is because Republicans do not really want that change.

The reason that liberalism, nay, socialism - lets start calling it what it really is - The reason Socialism is being instituted on such a grand scale is because there is no opposition to it.

Oh yes, the time has definitely come.

Every day that is allowed to pass is further time for the enemy to implement its plans. Their next step is to remove our ability to defend ourselves from them.

And once one amendment falls, they all fall, including the 10th.

The clock is past midnight now.

I once asked the question directly after this last election “how do you win a game of chess in which you start already in checkmate?”

There is only one answer to that question.

As a former leftie I’ve been trying to tell conservatives this for years. We’re in a war here and as General Omar Bradly once said ‘’ In war there’s no second place prize for the runner up’’.

Hi and buenos dias from Guatemala City! Mr. Resettozero has asked me to use kind-speak to inform you and other FR posters who agree with you that he has never been a member of the Republican Party and that he votes only for conservative candidates for office for a long time now. He also asked me to give everyone my prettiest smile! ;>) Flourine
