Nor will I throw it away defending the very people who are our political opponents.

Any Freeper supporting the GOP at this point is something aside from conservative. Hard truth but conservatives do not support things the GOP is doing and has done for the last year plus.

The best I could muster was a spirited anti-Obama campaign with my friends and family. After the McCain debacle drove me out of the Republican Party, I couldn't manage anything good to say about Romney except that he probably isn't a Marxist revolutionary.

The current GOP is not conservative. For that matter, it never has been.

The GOP built a bridge to bring in the social and fiscal conservatives in the 70’s. That bridge has collapsed.

Funny thing is a similar problem is going on in the DNC. Their collation will not hold either.

Interesting times, for as long as our system of voting stands. Which may not be long.
