Climate scam: A dire threat to sovereignty

DOHA, Qatar – Ms. Christiana Figueres, chief secretary of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change, has told a press conference here that the 18th Conference of the States Parties will bring about “a complete economic transformation of the world.”

She does not have in mind a democratic, free-market transformation. The intention of these 18 successive annual vacations for the world’s pampered dictators in exotic, sun-drenched locations is what it always was: to create a treaty binding more than 190 nations to do as the Secretariat says. Democracy? What’s that?

Todd Stern, the U.S. lead negotiator, was similarly upbeat at his own press conference here. With all the fervor of an evangelical preacher in an Alabama mega-church, he predicted that the “Doha Way Forward,” following the “Bali Road-Map,” the “Durban Platform,” etc., would achieve a second Kyoto Protocol – a treaty that all the nations of the world would ratify.

At least one nation will not ratify any such world-government power-grab by the world’s ruling elites. In 1997, while Al Gore was president of the United States Senate, it voted 95 to nil not to accept any treaty like the Kyoto Protocol.

The menace to democracy your senators recognized in the absurdly expensive, drawn-out U.N. climate “process” is grave. Shortly before the Copenhagen climate conference in 2009, Dr Willie Soon of the Harvard-Smithsonian Institute for Astrophysics sent me an urgent email with a link to an obscure U.N. website that carried a draft of the then-intended Treaty of Copenhagen.

The 186-page draft was a remarkably detailed blueprint for world government, with the grim Framework Convention Secretariat as its ruling junta. Nowhere in this monstrous document were the words “democracy,” “election,” “ballot” or “vote” mentioned.

It was at once clear that the sole purpose of the climate scam, as the U.N.

hmmm lets see, the US and Great Britain - two nations NOT signed onto the kyoto trwaty now signed onto them ore recent ‘climate change’ treaties, were the ONLY TWO NATIONS to REDUCE their CO2 output- while every nation that signed onto the treaties DID NOT REDUCE their CO2 output, but the UN is goign to cripple the US and Britain by demandning the US and brtian foot hte bill for these treaties

Before ANY nation signs onto anythign as assinien as a ‘global climate change’ treaty, they shoudl demand that the UN prove that man is actually the cause and not osme cyclical natural climate change

But the Earth hasn't shown any appreciable increase in temperature for over a decade.

Lies on top of lies.

Climate scam: A dire threat to sovereignty

Wasn't that the whole point?

Just look at carbon credits, for instance. A "natural resource" created out of thin air, doled out at the discretion of some supra-national committee. Rich nations could buy the surplus carbon credits poor nations didn't need.

Imagine, Western companies spending real money to buy up "carbon-credit" currency so they can keep their factories running. Wealth transfer at the discretion of the rationing committee:

"Sorry, America, you're too rich - err, I mean too polluting. No more production, no more oil drilling, no more driving...Unless you perhaps want to work out a deal with, say, Haiti. They appear to have a surplus of ration coupons - err, I mean carbon credits. I'm certain the two of you could come to an arrangement."

Eliminating sovereignty is the whole damned point of the scam.

[[But the Earth hasn’t shown any appreciable increase in temperature for over a decade]]

but yet every storm gets blamed on ‘global warming (whetrher the year was hotter or colder- doesn’t matter- they blame man-caused global warming)

You can’t use facts on the left- when you do, they simply scream louder and stick their fingers in their e3ars and throw temper tantrums like al gore did and get the government to coddle them and protect them agaisnt the mean old ‘anti-man-caused global warming’ nuts like us

What I find interesting is that Global Warming ideology is based on probability, which is something that plenty of people get criticized for feeling skeptical based on.
