Obama: We Are Not Going To Negotiate With The Debt Ceiling

President Obama on Wednesday described Republicans who are considering holding the debt ceiling vote hostage in additional negotiations after the so-called fiscal cliff in January as partaking in a "bad strategy for America."
"I will not play that game," Obama told business leaders at a quarterly meeting of the Business Roundtable in Washington. "We are not going to play that game next year. We've got to break that habit before it starts."
He is going to EO himself the right to raise the debt limit and the spineless Pubbies will not do a damn thing about it.
Once he gets Boehner to back down on one thing, he goes for another. This is so ugly and horrifying to watch.

pass the house budget... then just sit..
if we loose the house in 2014, and I think we will, let them do their 2 more years of damage...
it’s going to take complete and utter damage and ultimate collapse of our economy to occur for American’s to finally wake up from their slumber.

I'll refer it to committee and...hmmm, let me see...maybe in three or four years they can give us a recommendation whether this so-called ceiling needs to be adjusted - one way or the other. These things take time, you understand."
Boner has no intention of cutting spending.
If he did, he would never have kicked Tea Party conservatives off of finance committees.
The reason boner, and we as well, are going to lose is simple.
We go over the cliff.
By the end of January, obumbler will introduce legislation to cut taxes for the so called middle class and to restore all of their deductions.
If the repubs refuse to go along, they are then painted as bad guys.
If they go along, obumbler and the lib press will hail themselves as heroes who forced the repubs and saved the middle class.
It is a lose lose choice.
So what the repubs should do right now, including the most die hard Tea Party members is take their Christmas vacation beginning tomorrow morning and not even go back until the day new members are sworn in.
After all, obumbler is taking his vacation, so why not?
The key to solving our problems is to, after all of the noise over taxes dies down, unfund all of the lib pet projects...EPA, Dept of Education, obumbler care, ....
No money can be spent without the approval of the house.
I would even try to ground Air Force One.
He will have to do it that way as the House would vote down massive spending bills. I say that, but after Boehner took conservatives off committees that have to do with spending, I don't know if anything would be voted down in the House as members have to agree with Boehner to stay on committees. Boehner has turned himself into a dictator.
I am OK with Clinton era tax rates along with Clinton expenditures.
This is your economy! You and wanting to make us pay.
The House Republicans have the majority. They should say, Nothing more for you!
Fairly clear now that Obama and the Progresso’s want to destroy the worlds only reserve currency. We cannot let this happen. To borrow an Algore Global Warming metaphor - The entire planet hangs in the balance.
vacation at same time for the House as the Prez.. That is an interesting idea.
You got it. This is a no-win for Republicans. It won’t matter, Obama is going to get what he wants one way or the other. He does not want a deal—he wants a fiscal cliff, he wants economic chaos. He couldn’t care less about his country, he only cares about political power.
I love his use of the royal “we”
