The problems with Newt were legion....too many marriages, too many affairs, too much baggage, too much fodder, too much drama. Wasn’t Newt the one who sat on the couch with Nancy Pelousy extolling climate change caca? Didn’t Newt whine about not being invited on board Air Force One when Clinton was president? Wasn’t Newt forced out of the Speakership under an ethical cloud? Wasn’t Newt engaged in hos own extramarital affair at the same time he was pursuing the Lewinsky matter? Didn’t one of Newt’s businesses recently file for bankruptcy? Didn’t Newt and Callista take a vacation to the Greek isles in the middle of the presidential primary campaign and a shake up of their own campaign?

Not to say Newt doesn’t have some very fine qualities. He’s great author. He has a keen intellect. A great and witty debator, quick on his feet. A strong historical background. He would make a great professor, a great talk show host, a great author.

Newt after leaving the Congress abandoned Georgia and became a beltway creature much like Rick Santorum. Newt’s liabilities, his lack of discipline precluded him from being a serious presidential candidate. And one could also point to numerous flip flops and lack of ideological discipline as well, but that would take too long.

As usual Republicans looking to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, Conservatives deeming no one pure enough. We need Newt in some capacity, Republicans and Conservatives should be thanking him for what he has done, apologizing for squandering the bounty he left us and begging him to help do it again. He appears to be the only one with an idea and plan for what needs to be done. I would like to see him in the role of Speaker again but we all know the Republicans will have nothing to do with someone who knows what needs to be done and is willing to do it, he would probably offend Republican elites, democrats and media. We can’t have any of that, bring on the ass kissing compromisers.

You should face things. This isn't the 1990's any longer. This is not the time to destroy what people we have on the front lines combating those fraudulent democrats and their associates in the press. It is battle time. Collision of the 2 platforms or it will become worse. I know he has flaws..most I understand with reason. He is a reformer. Look at the videos on the net on this man. He is a valuable treasure. No man is without some kind of imperfections. His message is what we need. You forget the leftist were out for him for years about his college course and his book. Newt left because people on our side didn't protect him for their own political seats (Santorum was one). Now, look what direction the party is going..completely away from the gains we had accomplished under Newt's leadership. That means something to me. You talk like his campaign had the support of his party. They did everyhting possible to stop him and Palin. Please, don't expect me to see this as all Newt's fault. At the time of GW, many on our side were leaning with Nancy as many in the country because the science was confusing. The left has attacked him. I don't need to add to it, you go ahead. He was married legal and left them-it was his life and the first wife, all respect one another and the 2nd wife was under FBI investigation. I am happy that he left that woman to have a life. New wife gives him purpose. God gave him salvation. My favorite current leaders are Newt and Sarah. Others, need to step up.

Lay off the facts, wise guy!

Of course you are accurate, but Newt would have been a great deal more fun than Dead Pan Dead Meat Mitt as candidate. Of course, he might also have lost, but it would have at least been interesting.

Me? I would hate to have to be the one to decide whether or not The Mormon Milquetoast was among the quick or the dead. At least Newt's multiple sins would have indicated he had a pulse.

Then, Newt did convert to Catholicism and meet the Pope, who probably gave him Absolution.

I hope you enjoy president Romney cause you wanted a Mormon milk drinker instead of the smartest man in the room,....any room. I won’t address every misstatement you made, but one particularly irks me. Newt wasn’t forced out under an ethical cloud. Google is your friend. Half of the Republican party has been married twice or more. The rest of that crap falls under the “I wouldn’t drink a beer with him” category. I’m not looking for a bar buddy. Newt could fix this country on vacation from a bar in the Greek isles. He almost won this contest until the Romney machine crushed him after SC. It’s hard to fight a half billion dollars.
