GOP REP: BOEHNER MAY 'TARGET' MORE CONSERVATIVES
Breitbart ^ | Wednesday December 5, 2012

Posted on 12/05/2012 2:22:54 PM PST by Bigtigermike

House Speaker John Boehner on Wednesday warned his House Republican conference against dissent from GOP leadership – and threatened retaliation similar to that against the already-purged conservatives if anyone else breaks from his pack.

The Hill reports that, according to Kansas Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp, Boehner used his weekly GOP conference meeting to “note that we [leadership] have punished four members, he claimed that it had nothing to do with their conservative ideology, but had to do with their voting patterns."

Huelskamp also said Boehner threatened “there may be more folks that will be targeted” and that Boehner told the caucus that “‘we're watching all your votes.’”

It’s unclear what criteria Boehner and GOP leadership plan to use in the weeks and months ahead. Boehner spokesman Michael Steel wouldn’t provide specifics on what criteria or votes on which the Speaker is “watching” conservative Republicans.

Instead, when asked, Steel provided Breitbart News with the exact quote another Boehner spokesman gave two nights ago for a response to a completely different question. “The Steering Committee makes decisions based on a range of factors,” Steel said.

I despise the Ron Paul Mob Zombies as much as anyone.

But that is not what’s going on here. This is a purge of Conservatives from the GOP and national politics. This is simply the first step in rendering Conservatism irrelevant politically.

Boehner’s fruits speak to his disdain and hatred of Conservatives.

The GOP are the Judenrat for the MarxoFascists.

You are cluelessly ignorant if you don’t see that.

******************

Complicit, not ignorant. The Geriatric Old Plotters are not stupid. They are malevolent. Big difference.

Have we learned yet....

they are not our party,
we are not going to “take the party back.”
they never were our party...

Nothing to add to your post. It just bears repeating.

“Boehner looks at Pelosi with envy. He wants lockstep obedience as she gets, and is trying to force the troops into line.”

Ah, but Pelosi is hard man. Boehner is neither.

We are supposed to automatically believe they are malevolent just because they remove a few Reps hardly anyone has heard of?

Uh...I think I'll wait till I know something more about these Reps.

I say why is everyone turning against Ryan when he succeeded in passing the most conservative budget in years?

That's not a small feat.

And why is every suddenly hero-worshipping 4 House reps who no one every heard of before this week?

Do you know if there is any truth to the rumor that the 4 reps are Paulites and that's why they were removed from budget committee(s)? I do know that Dims win many battles because they form a unified front even if they don't agree on the details. The GOP doesn't seem to be able to do that.

And will FReepers ever realize that being a conservative is VERY different than being a Republican?

I suspect the GOPe would be doing EXACTLY the same things to get the party to vote for every stupid idea Mitt would have had also.

Yet many here talked all about how they were going to hold Mitt’s feet to the fire and make him do the right thing.

I left the plantation. I will not vote for a RINO, liberal, tax-loving, squish, nor be locked into voting for a One Party Plantation candidate.

I wouldn’t exaggerate what Boehner is doing. I can understand he may need to make a deal to avoid republican disaster if Obama pins the fiscal cliff on the GOP.

BUT the way this is being handled, Boehner is risking alienating the entire conservative base of the republican party. He ain’t going to be replacing that with any imagined slice of the hispanic, single mother, etc. vote.

Even if a deal has to be made, I can see so many better ways this should be handled.

The GOP doesn't seem to be able to do that.

That's what the GOP seems to be trying to do by demoting those who voted against Ryan's bill. The vast majority voted for it but these four wanted to be "mavericks" I guess.

Yes, from what I know these four appear to be Paul-ites.

Boehner is in a position to do a great deal of good. But he’s running in the wrong direction?? What gives!?

Just a slight dose of political reality. It was Romney’s defeat and the defeat of several tea party senate candidates, that is leading to all this trouble in the GOP.

Had Romney won, there was a whole conservative agenda on the table. Likewise if we picked up seats in Congress as we were supposed to.

So anyone who didn’t support Romney also is reaping the whirlwind here. Conservatives did not produce a victory, no matter how you cut it.

Having said that, I totally disagree with the abandonment of conservative principles. Boehner appears to be playing pure politics without any guiding values. There is a real country here that deserves better.

the entire conservative base of the republican party

The strange thing is why would the entire conservative base be suddenly 100% in support of four Reps no one has ever heard of until a few days ago? We have no idea if they have any ability as legislators/committee members.

I remembered hearing a story about Boehner so i went digging. Nothing hard or fast that I can find but I did turn up something from of all places, The National Inquirer. Is there more to this than has been let out and is this what Obama and his THUGS is holding on Boehner’s head?

You keep repeating this mantra that Boehner’s purge of Conservatives is a ‘good thing’ because those purged are ‘Paulites’.

Brietbart’s article in the OP makes it perfectly clear that ANY CONSERVATIVE who is not ‘loyal’ to the leadership who collaborates with Obama - will be punished. This is a purge of Conservatism from the GOP - something even Levin warned was going to happen after that Tuesday incident at the RNC in August.

So your insistence that these purged Conservatives are “Paulites’ is moot. You are not going to be able to deceive us from what is really going on so you can keep your party-hack position in the GOP.

The GOP is the Judenrat for the MarxoFascists.

All Boner has to do is pi$$ off 16 members of his caucus and Pelosi is Speaker.

I have heard of all four of the house reps before and they command respect. They are 4 of the best in Washington. They know what is happening.
