State Sen. Donne Trotter, who is seeking the congressional seat vacated by Jesse Jackson Jr., was arrested this morning at O’Hare International Airport for attempting to board a plane with an unloaded handgun and a clip with six bullets, officials said.
Trotter, a Chicago Democrat who has served in the state legislature since 1988, was charged with a Class 4 felony, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.

Hopefully the run-in will 'taint' him against the TSA -- I'm becoming more and more convinced the only way to get the TSA disbanded is to make it onerous to politicians.

You are right, my mind ain’t right - I need to conform to the lowest common denominator and stop resisting error, hyperbole, overstatement, and wrong-headed thinking. My bad.
I’ll add it to the list of things I must accept in life, even though they are not correct. We live in Obama World now, and even reporters only need to say enough to allow us to fill in the blanks ourselves. I am now used to suboptimal, inadequate, abnormal and tepid. My mind is right.

Nice... and he wanted to represent JJjr’s district? What does anyone want to bet that he forgot he was carrying in the first place, as in 2nd nature because he’s always armed, even in the city? Can they find any NON-Felons to take the seat? (I’m guessing no...)
