WASHINGTON (CBS DC) – The word “lunatic” will be stricken from federal law under legislation that passed the House by a vote of 398-1 on Wednesday.
The congressional action is the most recent effort to eliminate language from the U.S. code that has become outdated or demeaning. Two years ago, Congress removed references in federal law to the term “mental retardation.”
Now we know! Since the Congress has stricken the word “lunatic” from future Federal existence, all we have to do is to refer to Federal employees as lunatics, and they will ignore us!
This is great! Lunatic Obama, lunatic Boehner, lunatic McConnell! They won’t listen to us any more! We are free to write whatever we wa-——.

Ahhhhhhhhh! I get it! Calling them Lunatics has hurt their itabitty feelings. Boo-Hoo.

Have they already removed “usurper,” “fraud,” “illegal alien,” “Communist,” “Muslim,” “forger,” “traitor,” “looter,” and “perjurer.”
There are 435 lunatics in the House of Representatives. Give or take 10-12 true conservatives.

Considering Congress, I thought they’d be far more interested in eliminating the word “asshole” from any documents referring to themselves.
The word derives from lunaticus meaning “of the moon” or “moonstruck”. It’s just another way to not offend any muslims in the government. Because it describes every muslim you have ever heard about: crazed, insane, mad, demented, maniacal, psychotic, crazed; including our fearful leader.
So. I assume "freedom" is next?
What will follow after that?
It looks like they will have to change the name of the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, WV. The thought control police will require it.
The Federal Government is chuck full of Moonbats.
Change “Moonbats” to “Dumb Asses” and you have them all covered.
The new nomenclature has done nothing but create confusion.

I can understand why the inmates now running the asylum might want to remove the word “lunatic” from the lexicon.
actually, as late as the 1960’s, the mentally retarded were listed as imbicile or moron, depending how bad their retardation was.
Now you can’t even use the term “retarded”: it’s intellectually challenged, and a lot of them are merely called “autistic” even though most “autistic” children are mentally retarded too...
now I guess I’ll have all the autistic parents on my back, but I’ve seen parents call their obviously profoundly retarded child with cerebral palsy as just having “autism”...
They removed the word ‘lunatic’ and substituted the word ‘politician’.
