Nurse who took Kate prank call has been found dead [Possible suicide]

THE nurse who took a prank call from two Australian DJs asking about the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge has been found dead this morning.

Tragic Jacintha Saldanha, 46, is believed to have committed suicide as police are not treating the death as suspicious.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were said to be “deeply saddened" by the death of Jacintha, described by the hospital as an "excellent nurse" who was "well respected and popular" with colleagues.

DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian made the prank call from Down Under, impersonating Prince Charles and the Queen to get information about Kate's condition.

The duo — whose station is notorious for courting controversy — were amazed when their dodgy uppercrust British accents got them put through to Kate's ward.

It’s not just the call. It’s the barrage of public humiliation that followed that obviously drove her over the edge. Some things are just not funny. Pranking a hospital about a pregnant woman is one of them.

The pop culture that pushes this dribble is destructive and here we see the results of it.

Whoever sues on her behalf should be at least 50% complicit for ever letting her out of their sight.

Some people just want to be famous no matter how they get there. Look at reality TV and some of the disgusting personalities that have become household names. (Snooki, Paris Hilton etc...) They’re more famous now than they ever imagined.

This controversy will fade but they will still be known, if only in Australia.

If they are truly sorry, the should cancel the show and fade away never to be heard from again. But they really aren’t sorry.

She was initially thought to be a receptionist at the hospital but is now said to have beeen a nurse staffing the switchboard .

I think she was killed because she saw the x-rays and sonigrams of the Baby. She saw two fetus, one a doberman pincer and the other a small boy with 666 on it’s head.

Ever since this prank call happened, I've been a bit worried about the other nurse, the one who actually gave out information about Kate. If anyone got in trouble with the hospital, I would think it would be she. If the woman who killed herself got in trouble just for transferring the call, I can only imagine the trouble the other nurse got. I hope she's all right and someone is keeping tabs on her.

I can’t see suicide over something so minor. Makes no sense. And while the DJs in question are moronic like most these days. I don’t see them as responsible that she was so unstable.

Her suicide may or may not be directly related to this prank call. Normally things build up over some time with suicides, and this was probably not the direct cause, or it might just have been the final trigger. Perhaps further investigation will shed more light.

Personally, I've never considered "practical" jokes to be either very funny or in any way practical. On the contrary, they are often very cruel and hurt people a great deal. Well, no ones laughing now are they?

This was obviously an incredibly unstable woman with a very likely propensity to take her own life. Even if it was not obvious to anyone, including her children, it's irrelevant as you take your victim as you find them, correct? I'm sure you'd agree that anyone who lets someone out of their sight who is very likely to kill themselves (even if they had no way to know-eggshell skull at work again-) shares in the blame.Actually the lion's share. And just what crime did the callers commit?

And tell me seriously, what would longtermmemory actually charge and convict them of, both civilly and criminally, if you were judge and jury?
