AFP - Syria warned on Saturday that rebels could use chemical weapons in their fight against President Bashar al-Assad's forces, and insisted that the regime will never unleash such arms on its own people.

British Foreign Secretary William Hague, however, said there was evidence the Damascus government could actually employ chemical weapons stocks in the conflict which a rights group says has killed at least 42,000 people in nearly 21 months.

Except for Iran. Remember Obama wouldn’t help them.

Obama wouldn't help the people who wanted freedom from the Iranian government's religious oppression. The Iranian government has its version of the Caliphate in place already and Obama carefully avoided giving ANY support including moral support to the Iranian people because he WANTS the Caliphate.

Chemical containers in the Libyan desert. There are concerns unguarded weapons could fall into the hands of Islamist militants

In August, Fox News interviewed Rep. Mike Rogers, R.-Mich., who said he saw a chemical weapon stockpile in the country during a 2004 trip. At the time, he said the U.S. was concerned about “thousands of pounds of very active mustard gas.”

He also said there is some sarin gas that is unaccounted for.

A Russian-drafted U.N. resolution, to be voted on this week, calls on Libyan authorities to destroy stockpiles of chemical weapons in coordination with international authorities.

In February, the U.S. State Department told reporters that some chemical weapons remained in the country and the U.S. government was encouraging the Libyans to secure the sites.

The U.S. had been trying to revive a program to prevent Libyan chemical, biological and nuclear scientists from working for terror groups or hostile nations, a State Department official said last month.

Besides chemical weapons, hundreds of experts worked in Muammar Qaddafi’s weapons of mass destruction programs.

UN’s Ban Ki-moon says Libya must quickly secure any chemical weapons and nuclear materials left unguarded during the civil war.

Chemical weapons stockpiled in Libya pose a risk to Canada, Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird said Thursday.

“The place is armed to the hilt and obviously that causes us real concern,” Baird told the House of Commons foreign affairs committee.

He said there are concerns about the amount of weapons circulating around the country that is now being ruled by the National Transitional Council following the ousting and death of Moammar Gadhafi. During the uprising against Gadhafi a number of military sites were left unguarded and reports have indicated weapons and munitions have gone missing.

If the intelligence on the whereabouts of the chemicals is solid, the U.S. could neutralize or secure the materials quietly and covertly, using CIA and Special Operations units. Nevertheless, inserting U.S. personnel into the middle of a civil war leaves much to be desired. Moreover, moving — or guarding — 14 tons of anything is seldom done quietly.

Syrian rebels held secret talks with Libya’s new authorities on Friday, aiming to secure weapons and money for their insurgency against President Bashar al-Assad’s regime, The Daily Telegraph has learned.

The New Syrian Army is getting chemical weapons from Qaddafi’s old stockpiles in Libya. The purpose of the “consulate and CIA annex” in Benghazi was the funneling of Libyan weapons to the NSA through NATO partner Turkey (that happens to share a border with Syria).

The MSM would never permit that.

Barry could be buck naked on the White Hut lawn buggering a 14 year old boy in front of the whole Washington, DC press corps on live TV and they'd lie to the viewers (who would believe them).
