Glenn Beck on Wednesday announced that he is teaming up with actor Vince Vaughn to produce a new reality show set to debut next year on Beck's TheBlaze TV.
Pursuit of Truth will pit 20 documentary filmmakers in a competition for financing and distribution for their film. Becks TheBlaze TV, Vaughn and Peter Billingsleys Wild West Productions and Gary Auerbachs Go Go Luckey Entertainment are behind the nine episode series, which will launch on TheBlaze TV in spring 2013.
"I am proud to announce that Vince Vaughn and I are going to be the executive producers," Beck said on his Wednesday radio show. "That should make everybody's head spin. What the hell is Vince Vaughn doing with a crazy man? I know, that's what my friends say. Glenn, what are you doing with the crazy man Vince Vaughn? Yes. It's great, isn't it? I love it."....

Say that too often Glenn...silly as it is, no one will ever hear the other side.
How about putting out a syndicated 6:30 news program to compete with the O-media crap?
A “reality” show to make a documentary to air someplace that 99.9% of the country has no ability to view?
The day after the Chicago machine stole the biggest election in US history and put a communist back in the White House (and helped the GOP to destroy itself so that we have very little hope of anyone defeating a dim in the next several cycles), Beck was talking about a huge, powerful plan he has for 2013, a plan that was going to focus on saving this country.
This was it?
Another Coulter-style pimping of himself.
I’m sick of Beck.
I wonder if Vaughn has started receiving hateful and vulgar tweets and death threats from the tolerant ObamaTwits yet.
Beck has some very good stuff, unmatched anywhere else.
Sure he self-promotes, but let him.
We need more like Beck.
I love all three of these guys and will be watching...
Instead of watching FOX news I watch the Glenn Beck news show..Those with dish can get his network on channel 212..
Ditto.
And Limbaugh made tea.
There has only ever been one perfect man, and he walked the earth 2012 years ago. The Founders weren't perfect men. What we want in our leaders is men who believe in "Nature's God" and natural law, who pray for guidance and who hold themselves accountable.
Conservatives need to stop shooting into the circle. You may have noticed; Democrats never do. Ever.
Real News from the Blaze airs every weekday evening @ 6 P.M. online, and on Dish channel 212. The vast majority of the country DOES have the ability to view it if they choose to do so.
Agreed on all counts! Self promotion/advancement is the very basis of Capitalism, and the dwindling free market economy. More power to those that do so, and more power to Beck.
“Peter Billingsley”
I have been waiting for someone to post something about Beck is gonna shoot his eye out, or something.
Peter Billingsley played Ralphy in “A Christmas Story”
He also produced “Four Christmases” and directed “Couples’ Retreat” - both with Vaughn.
I am usually the one leading the charge to circle the wagons and pointing out how we are cutting off our noses to spite our faces when we turn on a conservative.
But I am tired of Beck directly tying his hype to current events and then making huge money on it.
I agree, we need him.
But what he is doing is burning people out with the constant, “You’ve got to buy this to prepare” BS.
I know lots of people who followed him and now they don’t, just for this reason. This is potentially very dangerous.
He needs to drop these million-dollar schemes and stick to exposing what his happening and urging people to prepare without being tied to it financially and without constantly hitting the panic button.
And that enterprise is completely separate from his reporting (yes, he does do reporting, better reporting than the state-run media) and his opinion.
I have no problem with people running separate enterprises.
What I object to is burning people out with the next great thing we all have to buy in order to prepare. I know a lot of people who used to follow him but don’t because everything he did just turned into something to buy from him. Those people are tuning out and that is dangerous.
Read my other posts.
I don’t mind someone having sideline enterprises and self-promoting. What I object to is running everyone in the red on the panic meter and doing so to make money.
He has and can provide a valuable service, as long as people take him seriously and tune in. I know many who no longer do because everything to him is the panic button and that button can only be capped if we buy something he is associated with.
His great service is fast becoming a disservice.
A novel? And maybe a movie? Really? He couldn’t just report on Agenda 21? Nope. He had to grab some dough and fame.
This is why people aren’t taking him as seriously as they should.
OK, your financial self-interest criticism is valid. No one should cry wolf too often.
