There should be gun racks next to the fire extinguishers.

New poll anyway.
I guess they didn’t like the numbers.

It is absolutely NOBODY’S business if a person chooses to carry. To carry or not to carry is a personal choice, and (save for the no felon prohibition) is not subject to governmental oversight regulation or rule, IMHO.

What if it is stolen? Any competent gun owner would have the serial number written down, and should report it stolen. End of story.
With respect to giving the school your “notice of intent to carry” is an inFRingement, “Excuse me?”
The beauty of concealed carry is that no one knows you are carrying. That is a reason, in and of itself, to not advertise your carry. To anyone!

Being “forced under penalty of law to give such information” IS inFRingement!

You know, if you don't wanna pack a gun on those doggy jaunts (although I do when I walk my aging Newfoundland these days) you might consider one of
THESE because they work really well on dogs just by pushing the button and the loud electrical noise, plus they work well if you have to use them but they don't kill. Do you have a ccw permit for FL? If not and you're anywhere near Miami, I'd be happy to give you the class for free. Read my home page.

I'm a couple days late to the thread but here's my feelings on this 'Gun Free Campus' stuff - and screw the poll results. In my 60+ years I've been on a few College - University Campuses. And all except for one
(1) I never knew where 'The Campus' began or ended as there wasn't exact 'boundary'.
These College - Universities have included but are not limited to:
- Northwestern University, Evenston, IL.
- University of Chicago, Chicago, IL.
- Illinois State University, Normal, IL.
- North Central College, Naperville, IL.
- Benedictine University, Lisle, IL.
(I know where the 'Main Building' is and that's about it)
So where to 'carry' or not would be impossible to know until you get to The Quad or some 'main building(s)', field house, or stadium.
Disclosure: Personally I wasn't 'lucky' enough to go to College as I grew up a poor white boy (when poor was really flucking POOR!). So I had to learn Mechanical Engineering 'the old fashioned way' - On The Job Training (I was what was called back then a 'Practical Engineer', but not by myself I could never do that). So I visited these places either through work, my locality, or where our daughter went to college -- she has a BS Degree :-)
Oh, and with Barry's 'old school', the Univ of Chicago, I DID 'Carry' when I had to go there. It was a two year Const project in the early 1980's and I had to go through very bad Chi hoods to get there. Our Company owner was 100% okay with carrying into these areas of Chi, even 'packing' while in the office. No 'leave it in the car' bull (hell, he prolly had two-three guns in his desk).
(1) The One exception is The College of DuPage (aka: COD). Our local two year Community College. It's boundary by its location make 'the campus' clearly defined (A very good school btw).
