Walker was asked Wednesday about whether he would push to make Wisconsin a right-to-work state on the heels after his proposal in 2011 that effectively ended collective bargaining for most public workers.
Walker said that introducing a right-to-work bill could lead to massive protests like what happened last year over the collective bargaining bill. He said those protests and the recall elections that followed created uncertainty for job creators.
Walker said, "The last thing I want to do is create the sense of uncertainty out there."
Walker stopped short of saying he would veto a right-to-work bill should it pass.

I’m seriously confused. After Walker fought his battle to deny certain bargaining tools to save the budget, I now just find out WI is still a not a right to work state unless you join the union?
So what was the point of that battle if you’re going to surrender the war?

A word of warning everyone...
Make sure that whatever person/people start leading the parade under the “Tea Party” banner ARE IN FACT CONSERVATIVE and NOT GOP PLANTS.
It’s time for people to start paying serious attention and it’s time to root out ‘Tea Party “Leaders” that are not who and what they appear to be.
I’m not saying this guy is a plant. Not at all. I’m just saying don’t get sucked in to a psyop campaign like many did in the primaries.

The one opportunity the TEA Party has to fail is by allowing the GOP to infiltrate it more than it already has. Purging ourselves of the opposition should be Job 1 before things get too far to change...and thus we simply continue as a powerless branch at the command of the GOP misleadership.
Having been on the formative boards of a TEA Party and a 912 group, please take care that NO leader is selected who is a teacher, a fireman or a LEO of any type, indeed any and all members of any government union. Why do I suggest that no such be allowed in leadership positions?
Can we say CONFLICT OF INTEREST, fellow FReepers?
Assuming honorable intentions on the part of conservative teachers, firemen, LEO’s and other government employees, we are going to have to cut said union jobs by very substantial amounts.
Don’t put a fellow conservative in a position which guarantees not only conflict of interest situations, but also results in substantial cognitive dissonance stress as well.
Those conservatives I listed above deserve better, and does the nation and our descendants.
Here’s what concerns me. And I know it’s a legit issue as I’ve see it from the inside in my years working as a journalist/reporter/editor in other areas (not TEA specific)
First, the Original TEA movement suddenly had a bunch of ‘name’ Republicans suddenly start fundraising orgs and foundations. Those orgs use all the same sources of funding, organisers, infrastructure people et all.
One does not get away from a problem by employing/using the VERY PEOPLE who created it.
Second, such types owe and are owed quid pro quos out the yang. And you can best believe they will be called on to collect.
Third, I will go to my grave believing that the main reason the GOP caves so easily is that since they are so free with their allegiances, all their deepest secrets are widely known within the ranks and as such, are open to blackmail.

What really torques me is that already half of conservativedom is falling into the trap. I see post after post calling for current GOP pols and activists to ‘lead’

Likewise, you get a committed GOP agent running your attempt to overthrow the power of the GOP. Guess how that will turn out...
But as my faith wanes, I still hope that the adults remaining in the Conservative Right will have the guts to slap down the whining idiots that still scream for some famous Republican to lead them.
Famous EX republicans are fine, since ex-(modern)republicanism is the heart and soul of the TEA party. We just need to ‘trust but verify’. Some actor with a chimp said that once. He was right.

We have a far bigger issues to deal with here in WI that will likely be as nasty as the collective bargaining fight:
1. Another State Supreme Court election in 2013.
2. A fight over the rules of judicial boundries here in the State in the future. Yes everything that passed last year was a huge victory legislatively, but most of it was struck down by the liberal Dane County courts.
The Republicans here need to tackle reforming the court system of appeals before they could move on to anything.

When we look back on this period of history, I think June, 2012 in WI will be seen as the political Gettysburg of the Left and the Dems.
We have to keep fighting, in spite of the setback of the (rigged) November elections.

He has seriously wounded the beast, but it still has some strength left. Public sector union membership is in drastic decline, as are the dues going to union coffers. Better to let it bleed out a bit, and finish it off when it's weaker.
Plus, since the recall elections, the Dems have a 1-vote majority in the state senate. This will change in January, when the winners of the November elections take their seats and the Repubs resume having a majority (18-15).
After the 2014 elections, we might see something happen.
Yes, there is potential there in WI but analyzing purple states in a flux is just maddening over the decades watching this stuff.
WI might have a majority into the next session but it’s hardly a mandate like Michigan’s. Not enough to risk for the WI state GOP.
