Gov. Pat Quinn on Wednesday indicated he would like to see assault weapons banned in Illinois as lawmakers this spring revise state law to allow some form of concealed carry to comply with a court ruling that tossed aside a long-standing ban on allowing people to carry weapons.
Meanwhile, at City Hall, Mayor Rahm Emanuel blasted Tuesday's federal appellate court decision as "wrongheaded" as he offered legal help to Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan as she weighs an appeal.
Judges gave the General Assembly six months to make changes, and the Democratic governor suggested the new rules will have to restrict who can get a permit to carry a gun.

You want leather, kydex, or ‘cur bolli?’
The true definition of an assault weapon is any object used to harm another person. A stick, knife, folding chair or a bazooka. The liberals define an assault weapon as all those scary looking black guns. I guess they can’t figure it out that the gun does no harm, it is the shiny bullet going three thousand feet per second that does the damage regardless of what barrel it comes out of..

Assault is a behavior, not a device.
Tyrants always attempt to control the language to assist in controlling the populace.
Those leades adamantly against weapons possession by upstanding citizens all too often have ulterior reasons for doing so. The judge who approved my first carry permit and stamped it “sporting use only” (as he did 99.9% of approvals, to wit you can own one but not carry it in public) left the bench under highly suspicious circumstances involving rumors of cocaine trafficking.
My guess is, this ruling will open the doors for Chicago to surpass 300 murders a year.

Rahm Emanuel clearly feels he knows what’s good for you better than you know, yourself.
It’s part and parcel of the fascist mentality.
Just another example of how liberals love THEIR guns but not yours. Their society would be well armed but only for a select few. The rest of you Bitter Clingers are on your own.
I have an alternative recipe for cur-bolli that I found. Use alcohol to dilute shellac and soak the leather in the mixture. press into desired shape and allow to dry at room temp.
Apparently the shellac soaks into the leather and treats the leather so that it is not only water resistant but lasts longer than cur-bolli.
Give it a try an tell me what you think.
I tend to think of that as starting around 50BMG, but it sounds like Quinn & Co would have the definition start near supersonic 22LR rounds.

Just relabel them as murderous desperadoes, armed and dangerous, wanted dead or alive and shoot them.
They have mugshots of them, turn them into posters.
