Terrorist turned teacher Bill Ayers appeared at a recent Big Apple gathering of Change the Stakes, an anti-testing group comprised mostly of teachers and parents. At least two employees of the New York City Board of Education were there as well.
EAGnews obtained exclusive video of the event and will be releasing more clips in the coming days.
But first we would like to present Ayers statement on the power of radical socialist educators in todays public schools. It should send chills down every parents spine.
Ayers explained to his audience that leftists wrongly put their faith in Barack Obama as an agent of change. Forget about it, he said, thats not where change comes from.
When theres movement on the ground, shit happens, he said.
If we want change to come, we would do well not to look at the sites of power we have no access to the White House, even the Congress, the Pentagon these are not the sites we have access to.
But lo and behold, we have absolute access to the community, the school, the neighborhood, the street, the classroom, the workplace, the shop, the farm why are we ignoring that and saying I hope Obama makes peace. Forget about it. Hes not going to do anything if you dont do something. Our job is movement building.
Ayers call to action is precisely why we see bizarre things like the California Federation of Teachers Tax the Rich video or Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel of all people being labeled a fat cat by the Chicago Teachers Union.
Ayers acknowledgement that radical leftists are using classrooms and public spaces to influence children should be a wakeup call to every parent and taxpayer. Educators are paid to teach kids to read, write and think for themselves, not to brainwash them in revolutionary ideology.
Ayers is not an educator. Hes an unconvicted terrorist who wants to use our tax money to further his goal of destroying the greatest nation in the history of the world. And hes calling on the people teaching your children to assist him.
If we are smart, we will use our leverage as taxpayers to stop this nonsense in its tracks, before it becomes an even bigger problem.
WHY is Bill The terrorist Ayers still alive?
Why would anyone take a chance a leave their child in an abusive atmosphere? How dare you accuse home schooling parents abandon the government schools when it is the other way around.
My granddaughter taught for one semester in the Memphis city schools. She was forced to quit because she expected the students to preform. Couldn't give the grade that the student actually earned, because it would look bad on the administrators.
Fat bastard is living well in America. I don’t agree with his put down of zer0.
Zer0’s accomplished the take over of health care, debt that will never be able to be paid off and he’s not done, he’s coming for my savings plans IRA and 401K, the military is getting more assignments and downsized at the same time, entitlements are off the charts and growing.
Thats just to name a few
Not bad for a community activist/socialist/foreigner
and he has 4 more years left to do more damage.
Bill Ayers is still alive?
***
Unfortunately, yes. And his movement is flourishing, as is clearly seen among the many indoctrinated morons among GenXers and later cohorts. Ayers and his gang have been hard at work for years in shaping the behavior of the electorate well before the voters have reach voting age.
They distort historical facts and undermine sexual morality in order to create their leftist utopia.

Tying life rafts to the Titanic was not going to keep it afloat.
There comes a time to abandon ship to save yourself and your family.
We can only hope that more parents follow suit and starve the beast.
It’s outlived its usefulness and it’s past time to shut the doors.
People who value an education will get one anyway, somehow. Those who don’t will not, even if they are forced to attend public indoctrination centers.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
This is a good point that needs to be propounded forcefully to the main victims of progressivism in the minority community. The reception will be lukewarm in the Mexican-American community (attitudes toward education are ambivalent; there's much more inclination to put kids to work fulltime in their teens "to help the family"), but the black community offers a genuine chance to illuminate the people about what has been done supposedly in their name and for their benefit.
The lead propounders need to be Bill Cosby, Ward Conerly, and Tom Sowell.
“When there’s movement on the ground, sh*t happens.”
The more they get away with, the more adolescent and self-satisfied they become.
IMHO
This is a joke, right? Learning to read, write, and do basic math doesn't require an "educator." Any literate parent with a pulse, a copy of Alpha-Phonics, and some paper and pencils can do it. "Thinking for yourself" is a survival skill that everyone develops naturally, if they're not brainwashed into being drones.
An "educator" exists only to promote some ideology, because he's simply not needed to impart the majority of life's necessary skills. A big part of this country's problems trace back to the erroneous belief that we need "educators."
As an elementary teacher, I was reprimanded by the principal who happened to walk by a spirited debate my third graders were having regaring the sale of arms to American Indian tribes.
All were participating, all were giving excellent arguments for their side. After the debate, some had changed sides, some hadn’t. When they asked what the right answer was to the issue, I told them that they had decided for themselves by thinking it through and debating it.
I was pulled aside and informed never to do that again and to teach strictly what was in the book. I left public education to teach in a private school for autistic children and then later whent on to HR.
I’ll never forget the day I was told not to teach children to think.
It is only to late for the incapable or the unwilling.
Look no further than the Communist Manifesto to see the inherent wrong with government schools.
Believe me, verga, some of us did. It took me three years of beating my head against the wall of one of the best schools in our county to realize that parents can do nothing against the engine of the progressive teachers' colleges and universities and federal power in education. I wasn't going to sacrifice my kids to their goals.
Fix it? The idea of "free" compulsory education is anti-freedom on its face, and it's obvious to any sane person why it doesn't work.
I was shocked to learn it is a part of so many state constitutions.
God bless my parents for the sacrifices they made to get me out.
“Not thinking” is what public education is all about. I read just a couple of days ago that Obama (or whoever is behind him, since he’s not smart enough to do any of these things on his own) wants the Federal Government to develop a curriculum, complete with its own textbooks and readings, that will be imposed on all public schools across the country.
Actually, I think Hispanics are lucky if they avoid the public education trap...in a sense, it’s better for a kid to go to work. They also have a bias towards self-employment (hence all the tiny lawn companies, roofing companies, snack bars, etc.). However, not having those pieces of paper can hold a kid up later if he decides he needs to advance in his job but doesn’t want to be self-employed. This has been a serious problem for Hispanic teenagers who have left school to work.
Catholic schools have been a great option for both black (usually non-Catholic) and Hispanic kids, although I think the Federal government is probably going to find a way to stamp them out, probably by imposing some kind of curriculum requirements (”gay is good,” for example) that they cannot accept.
Sadly, a lot of charter schools in minority neighborhoods, particularly black neighborhoods, have been really dismal failures, since the people running them were either totally obsessed with some black power message to the point of not being able to recall that they were there to teach basic ed, or simply weren’t capable of either running the school or teaching.
But there are some very good ones - I remember reading about a great charter school in Harlem that taught the kids Latin, because they felt that one of the big problems that black children faced was poor mastery of standard English, and that the thing to do was start from the ground up and teach them one of the root languages of English (which is a Germanic language, but of course heavily Latinized). It worked beautifully.
There’s nothing that makes minority kids intrinsically unable to learn, but having the teachers’ unions run around and say the schools are just fine (when they’re not) makes it seem as if this is a problem with the kids and not with the teachers, the system and the goals of public schools. (There are good teachers, btw, it’s just that in many cases they really can’t teach because of the last two items in the list, the system and the goals.)
Exactly. When someone here tried to convince conservatives to march on D.C., too many posters said “don’t bother”. With that attitude, NOTHING will get done.
See I am taking the opposite view I am willing to sacrifice myself, not just for your kids but every-ones kids.
