I was watching one those “Discovery” type show on TV the other day. It was dealing with the fact that the drug use and drug dealing in New Orleans after Katrina is far worse than it ever was before the Hurricane. Far more violence too. It also turns out that people took the money that Fema gave them and used to it invest in there own drug business. One guy said he got $5000 from the government and used it all to start his drug business. This is what government money does.
Damaged roofs? Damaged vehicles?
Why is it we pay for insurance again?
If people are just going to get handed $ for damage, why the hell waste money on insurance?
Oh, Brother! And they wonder why producers are resistant to more taxes?!?
Vehicles are on wheels. Why weren't they moved to higher ground?
Yes, we saw this in Newark NJ when they took 9/11 money to buy new garbage trucks; when asked about it, they said they might need them if an attack took place in Newark and they had to haul away bodies/debris.
Anyone who votes for more gov’t. money is a fool; anyone who donates to a disaster charity is even more stupid.
After this past election, you can sleep easy knowing your tax dollars are hard at work giving to those who don’t have. I stopped giving to my parish because apparently they felt Obama was the answer (my pastor prayed for life “from natural birth to death” - aparently conception, even C-sections, have no role in his Catholicism).
I'm sure 100% will go to the victims, right? /s
