N.Korean Rocket Used Cutting-Edge Navigation

The long-range rocket North Korea launched on Wednesday was apparently equipped with cutting-edge navigational technology.

National Intelligence Service chief Won Sei-hoon told lawmakers on Thursday that analysis by NASA showed that the satellite mounted on top of the rocket left its trajectory faster than ordinary satellites.

Won said the North appears to have acquired "remote-controlled guidance technology" that caused the satellite to shift its path after being separated from the rocket.

This means North Korea also tested technology that could increase the accuracy of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

The North also apparently used technology from the Rodong-B missile, which has a range of 3,500-4,000 km, to build the first-stage booster.

OK. Time for them to work on re-entry part. I saw some gov official type in U.S. saying that this does not mean that they can mass produce these rockets, and U.S. is not in any danger. Very comforting. Wait until they have dozens of working ICBM's, and we will start to worry. Of course, they will change tune by then: OK, it's done and we can't roll it back. Let us figure out how to live with it. LOL. I can see the future.

Looks as if the Loral Space technology sold to China by the Clintons has found a new home.

It is also true that the Imperial Japanese Navy was able to surprise us at Pearl Harbor only once. It wasn't like a regular thing, so that is some comfort, right?

If a Government Official says that the United States is in danger, the truth is that the United States is in eminent danger.

The voters finished off America on November 6, 2012.

Anything from this point on that a Government Official says Apply the opposite to. To illustrate: If a Government Official denies something, it is true. If a Government Official says something will not happen, it eithers has or will. But that is what the majority of those that voted, voted for.

BTW—we can agree that an EMP nuke can be the most cost-effective aganinst the US, as well as being DENIABLE.
Well, Bunkey, you DON’T NEED re-entry for that.

“Looks as if the Loral Space technology sold to China by the Clintons has found a new home.”

North Korea is a client state of China. Everything it does is permitted by the ChiComs if not actually directed by the Chinese government.

Imagine a future date when North Korea fires off a few ICBM’s and takes out several US cities. If the US responds with nuclear weapons, the fallout will affect South Korea and Japan, not China.

More likely the North Koreans will undertake an EMP strike on the continental US. One nuclear weapon exploded 200 miles above Kansas City will destroy the electrical grid and most modern electronics. The US will immediately be transported back to the 18th century in terms of technology. Over 100 million people will starve within weeks. Lawlessness and anarchy will rule with armed starving people killing off their neighbors in a fruitless search for food which modern just in time supply chains with no electrical power or functioning vehicles will be unable to deliver. Repair of the grid will take years to accomplish and massive foreign (i.e. UN and Chicom) assistance.

By using North Korean to set off one nuclear weapon 250 miles above the central US, the Chicoms can destroy the United States without fearing retaliation. The post EMP “humanitarian” invasion by the Chicom army will be welcomed by a starving population. No doubt the east coast will welcome Russian troops and humanitarian supplies, delivered by Russian troops, with open arms.

Our leaders know about this threat yet they refuse to install the ABM system which can negate the threat. In this era of massive government spending they refuse to allocate the $10 billion to harden the electrical grid against EMP and with all of the regulatory mandates refuse to order electronics makers to install EMP resistant circuits and chips. Why?

If you can produce one, you can produce two, If you can produce two you can produce two dozen.

Of course Mass production does not come until you get all the kinks worked out, but the N. Koreans seem to be doing allright in that capacity. You have to give them credit they are gaining expertise every day.

Imagine if the clintons return to power in 2016, what they'll give the chicoms to pass along to the NORKs, if 0bama hasn't already given everything to his chinese masters.

Excellent post and comments.

A fraction of Stimulus cash to protect the lives about 300M people.

If that figure is correct, and I think it’s what I’ve seen in other sources, if power companies and consumers paid to harden the grid, it would be $1 per day per person. (Pardon me if I’m missing something.)

The North Koreans couldn’t build a miniature bridge with a set of Tinker Toys.

Indeed, we can make a fairly safe bet that the technology was stolen from the United States, or that it was constructed from plans given them by the Chinese, who, themselves, got an enormous technological boost via defense secrets sold to them by the Clintons in exchange for illegal campaign contributions.

Most agents who sell defense technology are doing hard time; in the case of the Clintons, however, we made one the Secretary of State and the other an Elder Statesman who is constantly lionized in the press.

Latter day America is a strange beast.

Don't overlook the bizarre coincidences of so many Chinese turning up in Little Rock when Clintoon was running for the presidency. And, we cannot forget the amazing sequentially numbered travelers checks donated to Algore’s presidential campaign by the Chinese “nuns.” The checks, btw, were traced to a Chinese bank, owned and operated by the Chinese military...
