BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – A Bartlesville High School student is in custody on charges he plotted to bomb and shoot students at the campus auditorium on the same day that 28 people were shot and killed at an elementary school in Connecticut.

An arrest affidavit says Chavez tried to convince other students to help him lure students into the auditorium, chain the doors shut and start shooting. The Tulsa World reports that authorities say Chavez threatened to kill students who didn't help.

The Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise reports Chavez planned to detonate bombs at the doors as police arrived.

It should be pointed out....he had planned all of this, prior to the episode unfolding in Conn. So far, other than being a frustrated teen....no med-connection or insane status. I doubt that the media will speak up much on this unfolding episode....but dozens of folks are alive, because someone realized what the kid was planning.

I’m more concerned about what the hell is happening in this country. Frustrated? Wipe out as many people as possible and go out in a blaze of “glory.” It’s insane.

If someone wants to kill, they''ll find a way to kill. If not guns, they'll use bombs. If not bombs, they'll use gas. If not gas......the list can go on and on.

The American people as a whole need to do something about the pro-death culture in this country. These kids see the most innocent among us being slaughtered by the thousands each year, and we expect them to still value life? Why would they? If innocent infants are expendable, what about those people the kids deem guilty?

Insane? No it is gaming. Desensitizing harming others through repeated first person shooter games and, after a while, this is what you get.

Ever seen how the military desensitizes their recruits?

Thank goodness this tragedy was averted. If this had happened Friday, it would have made yesterday much worse than it was, and I know that is hard to imagine. Envision the horror of being trapped in a confined area with someone shooting at you. Not to mention, he was going to add another layer by bringing bombs with him. That would have prevented police from rescuing any of the students and likely would have killed police as well.

This is happening too much, and while this was obviously planned and he was arrested before the Newtown shootings, I do believe there is a level of copycat here. These are people who have embraced evil, and they are inspired by those who have done so before. They know they can cause a mass loss of lives, and they also know they’ll be known in the media and across the country. They don’t care that they’ll be known as evil and will go down in infamy; heck, it makes them proud.

It's the self esteem crap being taught in the public schools. Everyone deserves a trophy, and everyone is equal. When that turns out not to be true, and a kids self esteem gets hurt in the real world, the kid sees it as an attack. They don't know how to deal with it, so they decide the only way to rid themselves of reality is to abort those they believe are the enemy.
Because we have a culture of death in this country, killing is not seen as something out of the ordinary. It's "justified." Simply abort the inconvenience, and the problem goes away.

Race hate, envy and sin - the hallmarks of liberalism’s power structure.

Let’s see how this young man is handled. Will he be locked up for years, or sent off to counseling and medicated? Maybe an old fashioned draw and quarter to protect the innocent children.

Just a random thought I’m gonna throw out there.

With the Mayan prophecy happening next week do you suppose there are folks that believe so firmly that everything will end that they feel there’s nothing to lose or satisfy a morbid desire to commit a heinous crime thinking it really didn’t matter since everyone was gonna die in a week anyway.

Just a thought.

It is insane in Houston just driving to the grocery store. This government and economy and social situation has people so tense and nasty and freaked out it is unbelievable. There is a tremendous amount of fear on display out there everyday in the populace, at least that is the way it looks here. People are very tense and edgy and rude. Barely civil. Forget about Merry Christmas. I hardly ever hear that said.
