“They” cannot repeal and amendment through the House of Representatives OR the Senate. It takes 3/4 of the state legislatures to ratify a new amendment that would vacate the second amendment. This will not happen.

This is not to say they can’t further infringe on those rights the second amendments dictates ‘shall not be infringed’... Executive Orders, waiting periods, etc. could be issued, but they have an enforcement problem. My state certainly would not help them.

It may be something the Supremes can do. Not that it would be legal, but how do you challenge a Supreme Court decision?

Another possibility is for the House and Senate to change definitions in NFA’38 so that all semiautomatics are Articles Of War and require full NFA rules including registration and tax and local rules like a safe with 24/7 security. This was the British way- make firearms ownership so full of regulations restrictions and costs that many simply could not afford to own one.
