December 17, 2012 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Chicago's overall crime rate is down since 2011, according to a memo to Mayor Rahm Emanuel from police Supt. Garry McCarthy.

Burglaries, according to the memo, are down 15 percent so far this year, and car thefts are down 13 percent.
However, the number of murders this year is more than last year.

Of course Burglaries are down, there is no one left with anything worth stealing.
All the thugs, punks, and low-lifes are murdering each other. Who is left to commit the crimes?
Way to go Mayor Rahm-wad. That’s a novel approach to reduce crime in Chicago.
Perhaps incidents going unreported or, once reported, classifying crimes as something less serious. Hasn’t the FBI been doing that for years?
Many of Chicago’s petty criminals are now gainfully employed at the White House.
