Reforms are expected to include the threat of suicide as a ground for abortion, but may not extend to pregnancies resulting from rape or incest.

The country has the strictest abortion laws in Europe, and any move to change them is expected to face strong opposition from the Catholic Church. …

“This is how one sad suicide becomes one million murdered unborn babies.”

Exactly.

But personally I don’t think that just because one female kills herself that Ireland would then decide to allow others to kill their own children.

Seems to me they wanted to open that door all along and see this as a convenient excuse to do so.

Another dip into the toilet of sin.

I believe God will soon be flushing that toilet and the pipe leads to hell's sewer.

Ahh, you are probably right. It is likely just another case of the infamous political game “Never let a good tragedy go to waste.” Perhaps there is a special place in hell just for horrible politicians.

all irish women wanting abortions will all say they are suicidal.

duh, what a massive and easily faked exception. they’re already in a bad state of mind contemplating murdering their unborn baby.

The comments are interesting. Some claim that this law does not open the door to abortion on demand. We shall see, obviously, but the problem is the veracity of the abortion-seeker. How can any doctor possibly know whether the threat is real or merely an excuse?

This 'news' story and many more similar is nothing more than leftist wishful thinking propaganda. The key phrase to be noted when read is: "Reforms are expected to include"

This IS abortion on demand. And this is how they started in the US. If a pregnancy threatened the life of the mother, an abortion was legal-—and they used the suicide “threat” as a way of getting around abortion laws by saying that the treat did imperil the mother’s life.
