Ireland is to legalize some abortions after the death of a pregnant woman who was refused a termination.
It was announced yesterday that the Dublin government would legislate to decriminalize abortion if the mothers life was at risk.
Reforms are expected to include the threat of suicide as a ground for abortion, but may not extend to pregnancies resulting from rape or incest.
The country has the strictest abortion laws in Europe, and any move to change them is expected to face strong opposition from the Catholic Church.

Another dip into the toilet of sin.
This is how one sad suicide becomes one million murdered unborn babies.

“This is how one sad suicide becomes one million murdered unborn babies.”
Exactly.
But personally I don’t think that just because one female kills herself that Ireland would then decide to allow others to kill their own children.
Seems to me they wanted to open that door all along and see this as a convenient excuse to do so.

I believe God will soon be flushing that toilet and the pipe leads to hell's sewer.
all irish women wanting abortions will all say they are suicidal.
duh, what a massive and easily faked exception. they’re already in a bad state of mind contemplating murdering their unborn baby.
The comments are interesting. Some claim that this law does not open the door to abortion on demand. We shall see, obviously, but the problem is the veracity of the abortion-seeker. How can any doctor possibly know whether the threat is real or merely an excuse?
Enda Kenny is Europe’s man; he is not going to go against the leftist agenda out of there.
Do abortion-seekers and veracity really go hand in hand . . . ?
Like our country, the government there is acting contrary to the will of the people.
A difference between our “c”atholics and their Catholics ... theirs are willing to take up arms.
Truly a shame; they might as well be part of the UK at this point...
This IS abortion on demand. And this is how they started in the US. If a pregnancy threatened the life of the mother, an abortion was legal-—and they used the suicide “threat” as a way of getting around abortion laws by saying that the treat did imperil the mother’s life.
