Waiting for Godot----er,I mean, Jobs---
December 19, 2012 | self

Absurd and Existential...by Samuel Beckett and referred to as possibly the most important play of the 20th century, it presents a powerful metaphor for the OBAMA ELECTORAL BLOC who is sure that JOBS/GODOT will be arriving any moment....no plan in place

The dithering and senseless behavior of the two primary characters who wait for Godot represent Longterm Unemployment Benefits.....a distraction and placeholder

Problem today is, the OBAMA BLOC actually believes that Obama wants to create jobs......the last laugh really is on them, tragically at our civilization's expense

Well, that is one clear symptom of being a completely dysfunctional century. That play was AWFUL.

Yes, it was awful.....but, keep in mind the make up of the ‘Literati’ who voted it thus....which is why we are where we are now, via the education system.....History’s most successful hijacking, ever....while eveyone else was asleep....no one to blame but us

From wikipedia:

Pozzo is a character from Samuel Beckett's play Waiting for Godot. His name is Italian for "well" (as in "oil well").

On the surface he is a pompous, sometimes foppish, aristocrat (he claims to live in a manor, own many slaves and a Steinway piano), cruelly using and exploiting those around him (specifically his slave, Lucky and, to a lesser extent, Estragon).

Pozzo isn't POTUS, but they do seem to have a lot in common.

No there’s enough jobless voters stuck in dead end jobs to break their spirits or doom then to a meager retirement really a national tradegedy. There just wasn’t enough of them to gain any sympathy from the MSM or win an election.
So now so sorry....you lost... Lol but we have jobs working for the government and we have more important things to do. Like pass cap and trade ,let illegals in, hire more teachers. ...just suffer..and be quiet about it. ...we have a gay wedding going on.

Heck, I went to a private prep school, and that's where I had to read that dreck, and by a teacher who had the same fashion sense as Sen. Paul Simon. To his credit, we could criticize, as long as we did so intelligently. However, since it was a fast and easy read, at the time I was interested in putting in less effort, so I mostly played along.

I had also found in Art Appreciation class that "analyzing" modern art was much easier, as long as you could keep a straight face. I had gotten an A+ during the trimester that I decided to write my term paper on Ad Reinhart.
