President Obama announced gun control policies this morning at 11:45 a.m. Eastern. As reported on a local NBC News affiliate Channel 11 in Georgia, the administration will launch a major effort to develop and implement gun control policies the administration claims will help prevent another mass school shooting.
The president is tasking gun control expert, serial gaffe-master Vice President Joe Biden to head up what one presumes will be called a blue ribbon commission unilateral effort on why law-abiding citizens can no longer be trusted to possess certain kinds of guns, while only police, government law enforcement, and the U.S. military can.
The NBC report rightly captures the sense of urgency among some politicians to force through sweeping federal gun control legislation without reasoned deliberation, a proper discussion of the government’s powers, or a debate over the nature of people’s rights. Others might describe this urgency as politicians taking advantage of a legitimate crisis to exploit those who are emotionally willing to let their guard down.

If the past is any indication of the future, If the Congressional Republicans are the only thing that stand between us and obama the dictator, we are royally screwed. I wuuld say start preparing both mentally and physically for what is to come. As far as we are concerned, it is not going to be nice and pleasant.

BE CAREFUL! Back in 1968, the murder of Bobby Kennedy was an anti-gunner’s wet dream come true.
Bobby Kennedy was killed with a small American made .22 revolver, an Iver Johnson Cadet.
John Kennedy was killed in 1963 with a 5 shot bolt action military surplus rifle. Italian Carcano.
When the 1968 gun control act passed,(due to the passing out of huge amounts of cash to the states for “crime control”), it banned what the antis have been dreaming of for years.
A ban on 5 shot bolt action army surplus rifles.
A ban on small foreign pistols and revolvers.
A ban on military equipment. A gun shop in Tulsa was raided because they imported flintlock flints.
All of this did not ban the pistol used to kill Bobby, and it did nothing to ban foreign police surplus rifles which were the same as military rifles, just not issued to the army.
Congressmen from CT, Mass and NY had wanted a ban on military surplus to protect their local industries like COLT, S&W, Savage and Winchester.
Why should an American buy a $12.00 army rifle to hunt with when they should be buying a high dollar American made hunting rifle!
And why should they be buying a military Army surplus Enfield or Webley pistol when they should be buying a high dollar US made handgun?
The devil is in the details so be real careful with this as the antis today are far worse than the antis of the 1960s.
