for later
Yes. Optimism is in order, for a few days anyway.
Thanks, I needed that.
The most important factor we as gun owners have in our favor is that our position is not fueled by emotions, but upon logic and reason.
May it be so! All I'm sure of at this point is the loudly self-proclaimed "progressives" have turned this most recent massacre ito their golden opportunity to express their deep, abiding, blind hatred of both the Second Amendment and all of us who believe it means exactly what it says.
Leftist extremists resolved in the 1980s to isolate and demonize individual kinds of guns, abuse the raw power of the feral government to ban them, then choose the next kind of firearm and reapply that same scheme until the Second Amendment was rendered null and void for all practical purpose. I don't doubt that's still their malicious intent, but their first and last goal is to deliver a hard slap across the face of all us "Neanderthals," "knuckle draggers," "gun lobby dupes," "enablers of domestic terrorism," et cetera ad infinitum. Expressing their blind hatred is their first and foremost goal.
To give credit where it's due, even the Ku Klux Klan in its heyday never hated half so bitterly or persistently as "progressives."
And buy more ammo.
LOL!!! Was just Walmart with two other guys - we split what .223 they had left on the shelf.
The left is becoming increasingly unhinged. We should just go about our business and let them fly to pieces. Most people back away from crazy and shrill. The more we withold from them, the shriller they get, the crazier they sound.
That’s a great piece. It’s refreshing to see something other than the hysteria from others on all sides (especially the anti-Second-Amendment side—a given) the past few days. We should act like the best of our American fathers. It’ll be more interesting to see how many debt-rich government-linked partners of bureaucrats (and many more bureaucrats) act, when they loose their incomes from debt in a couple of years or so and throw public tantrums (as some of their spoiled offspring recently have).
I agree. I was pretty upset all day listening to Larry Pratt and Stuart Rhodes and then I heard Sam Donaldson got a DUI and suddenly things didn’t seem so bad. :)
The fact of the matter is that nobody can show me even a single instance of a school shooting in the 1800’s when:
-there were no background checks
-there were no age limits
-there were no waiting periods
-there were no arbitrary gun restrictions
-guns were much more easily accessible to kids
-gun safes practically did not even exist
-gun locks did not exist at all
-lever action guns in skilled hands can fire almost as fast as a semi auto AR
With all of this, still nobody can show me even a single instance of a school shooting during this time.
It’s the culture stupid......it ain’t the guns.
And the Second Amendment was never about duck hunting or target practice; it was about stopping tyranny from taking hold. The Founding Fathers were very clear on this and this can seen in their opinions (”it is the duty of every man to at all times be armed”-Thomas Jefferson) The Second Amendment was meant to be a checks and balances, so to speak, similar to the three branches of government.
It was precisely designed to act as a Sword of Damacles, which hangs over the head over every single politician.
“When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”-Thomas Jefferson
It is now the official position of the POTUS that attacks on US consulates are caused by nine minute YouTube videos, but attacks on elementary schools are caused by guns.
If the Mayans were so smart how come they didn’t see the Spanish coming?
