My late father was a WWII Pacific War combat veteran and he was both physically wounded and nearly driven insane by the experience.

He could not decide til his dying day whether he hated the Japanese more for their sadistic savagery or respected them more for their fearless tenacity. Faults and virtues that make for a good ally in the desperate global war for survival that Obama, benighted from Marxist evil, is taking both our nations.

That was the Japanese then. Not now

And not earlier

They aren't a "warrior race" in the same way as say the Gurkhas

They had their time in the sun, but now are mostly pacifists.

That does not mean they are good allies -- they are.
