Beautiful married woman wants “adventure”, seeks out a cavalryman, falls in love as his mistress. Proudly announces to her husband that she also belongs to the cavalryman and is having his baby. Ironically, Tolstoy seldom considers the children's welfare, presuming the servants take good care of them. She's strong and thinks she can take the ostracizing, but her world collapses and friends and family declare they will never visit.
She becomes impossible to live with, declares she is a “bad woman”, cavalryman finds someone nicer. She commits suicide.
I hope the modern story has a happier ending.

1- She got used to be very accomplished but never won the big ones. Olympic medals.
2- Her husband isn’t fighting for her but keeping the status quo.
To compensate for the above, add the required accomplishment + men and you can see where she ended up.
A FReper up thread said she’ll go back to it. I agree + a divorce, unless she uses her noodle of a husband as an “escort” to take care of their daughter when she’s busy.
If she thinks she has problems NOW, if she didn’t report her “outside income” on her tax return, just wait until the IRS starts poking around. Remember, that’s how they got Capone..

It's just not a compelling story for me.
She’s still on Zoloft, which indicates she has some serious issues.
For that matter, becoming an escort when she has a 7-year-old child, a (reportedly) very successful real estate business and a husband who is an attorney is probably another even stronger indication that she has some issues.
