We purchased our first Wolfhound, Bonnie in 1977 after a wolf attacked our 2 Irish Setters, killing one and severely wounding the other. The only creatures she feared were moose. She chased black and grizzly bears from our yard.
Our second was a rescue, Boshaylah, that we got in 1986. Both ours were fawn color, Bonnie being close to white. Both slept in the middle of the bed and they loved to travel. I took them with me wherever I went, including work.
Are any of yours related to one another? What colors are they?
This is a good stop-gap kind of thing, but I think the teacher is already a state employee and part of the state teachers retirement system and licensed by the state to teach.
They should also be required to be law officers and certification in relevant portions of that required in their quest for a teaching license.
Better than having ONE Sheriff Deputy as a "resource officer" to float between buildings. He's a nice guy, but he's only one for almost 4000 Staff and Students.
