How Boehner’s Plan B for the ‘fiscal cliff’ began and fell apart (RINO arrogance, dublicity)

Once the principal is given up in this particular fight, then the negotiation begins and it must move toward the socialist position. In this case with Boehner, the identification of the Republican Party as being a whore was posited by Boehner. All negotiation from that point is just how cheap this whore is. The tax raising would spread and the Democrats would wind up with more than they originally demanded. The Socialists in the Senate have already said if they do not get 100% of what the kenyan wants they won't even vote on it. Given that then the House should send a principled bill to the Senate and leave town. They should have done that a month ago. The reality is the deal will be bad, whatever it is. the economy will continue to crumble and the Republicans will get blamed no matter what they do because the Media are the propaganda organ of the Social Democrat Party i.e. the communists who are in the driver's seat in Washington now. We are very much in the Euro model now with the effective communist party running equal in the system with the mushy centrist party.

If the Republicans were not part of the Washington Power Structure- were a real conservative party then they would use the power they have in the House and simply defund everything socialist in the new session. But they won't. They will argue and fuss but will send all the money to the kenyan that he wants. They fuss in phony opposition to raising the debt ceiling but they have the power to simply NOT vote the funds for programs. The Republicans can cut the budget and begin to pay down the debt all by their lonseme selves in the House unless the kenyan really does begin to rule by open fiat. Then the problem devolves on the states and the people who obey or disobey unconstitutional and illegal ukases from the Tsar- directives from the Chairman.

“what had happened to the Boehner demand that every dollar in a debt ceiling increase would come with an equal cut in spending.”

It’s so simple and easy.

No it isn’t.

The pic you mentioned in No. 4 is Boehner w/ O after their golf game.

I agree it would have strengthened us to pass this.

But all Boehner had to do was include some small spending cuts- even Romney called for cutting CPB (Big Bird) spending in his campaign. So surely there are some cuts even our RINOs will support.

What’s the point of controlling Congress if we are just going to rubber-stamp the president, as you suggest?

“I didn’t “suggest” that we take any course of action so I don’t know what you’re going on about. “

Looking back, neither do I. In any case, let’s get some Tea Party people doing the negotiation (with or without sniffing Boener’s butt)...and see how it goes.

Going by your FReeper name, are you perhaps thinking Republicans stand for things they stood for years ago, and have personal attributes like many had years ago, not realizing they no longer do in almost all cases? There are good reasons why current Republicans and certainly the establishment crowd generally are not well supported on FreeRepublic.

ArGee, if the republicans vote for a tax increase “just” on 1 million plus, and three years from now the democrats come back and say, the deficit is still too big, we need to raise taxes again and also include 500K and up... what are the republicans going to say:

we are philosophically opposed to tax increases, we think tax increases slow economic growth and cost jobs...

once they compromise on this, they will be like Bush 41, democrats will beat on them as promise breakers on taxes even as they demand that republicans vote for more tax increases
