I have thought about the replacement stock with the piston damper, or if you want just simple Brownells has options including drilling into the stock and placing damping cylinders. Got me an old Remington Model 11 that I restored, its adjusted for slugs, I can shoot it all day long, but I use a sorbothane pad on it.

I’ve heard those things can produce some suprisingly tight groups if you use a rifled choke.

“in an actual hot situation, the only real purpose of your civilian firearm is to procure a military firearm. “

Yeh, a military firearm, only dropped one time. :-)

The only weapon capable of holding back, overthrowing, or negotiating with the us government is a nuclear bomb.
All other weapons are limited to home defense.

Understood. This was with a rifled choke tube intended specifically for sabot slugs.

A slug is a devastating projectile against barriers or through sheet metal and even some body armor.

The Box of Truth website did a lot or work on just how well some slugs did.

A tactical shotgun I think is high on the list for a modern militia. Especially when you can get taser slugs, breacher slugs and all kinds of loads from bird to buck shot. It can fire flares as well.

I used to get what he called "shellcrackers" from a conservation agent that lived down the road from where I grew up. There were 12ga loads that basically consisted of an M80 with a mercury compression fuse, and enough powder to throw it about 50 yards before it went off. I think commercially they're called "bird bombs". He'd bring a few boxes home with him every 4th of July and we'd sit in lawn chairs in his back yard firing them off. They were fun, but they left a mess in your barrel.

I lost a pair of Ar15’s, one standard the other a flat top with a red dot scope on it AND a SA M1A standard on a customized fiberglass and carbon fiber modded stock to a boating accident.

I beat mine into plowshares....psst.. What's a plowshare?

Right now prices on magazines are going through the roof. My dad had ten M1 carbine mags in his cart at CheaperThanDirt. There were there a couple of weeks before Sandy Hook. The original price was $8 each. When he went to check out the other day they had jumped to $20. I’ll bet any so-called assault rifle’s price will have increased a lot too.

When the Consitiution was written, the weaponry considered for the 2nd amendment would have been whatever was suitable to confront an army. It had nothing to do with hunting. Hunting was incidental.

I promise you my 870 express with my dialed in scope using a sabot slut 3" shell at 100 yards can hit in a 1 foot circle every shot. Done it. Shoulder hurts after number 5.

Yeah, them sluts 'll really do a number on ya.

Or chemical weapons. Dictators like those.
