A website set up by the White House to solicit petitions has been flooded in the wake of last Friday's gun massacre at a Newtown, Conn., elementary school, and today, President Obama issued a video response to petitioners, indicating that he hears the outpouring loud and clear.
"We hear you," said Mr. Obama. "Like the majority of Americans, I believe the Second Amendment guarantees the right to bear arms...It's encouraging that many gun owners have stepped up this week to say there are steps we can take to prevent more tragedies like the one in Newtown - steps that both protect our rights and protect our kids."
"This week I called on Congress to take up and pass common sense legislation that has the support of a majority of the American people, including banning the sale of military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition clips."
The president also referenced the gun violence task force he created, chaired by Vice President Biden, that has been tasked with generating policy ideas about how to reduce gun violence.

The only gun law changes I want to see would be the repeal of all but the second amendment.

Maybe they could make it illegal to shoot people or they could put up signs saying you can’t bring guns to school.

Pandering website and "petition" to 0. Also propaganda ads running on the Fox News website from the "Mayors against illegal guns" outfit looking to gin up sympathy.
This would be a very good time to get some competent Republican leadership to keep the GOP RINOs in ranks.

Repeal USC Title 18 922 in it's entirety. Remove the "F" from the BATFE.
Remind the States that Art 6 Para 2, not to mention the 14th, makes the Second Amendment the "Supreme Law of the Land" the "Laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding" and that all State and local laws that infringe on the mere keeping and bearing of arms are null and void.
I would then push for stiffer penalties for misuse of firearms and greater legal protections for those who use their firearms to defend themselves or others...

Yep and he will publish the results from all his liberal brethren on his website and claim this is what ALL the America people want then pull an Obamacare type sidestep and put it before the Supreme Court with Judge Roberts ready to sign off on repealing the 2nd Amendment (I know you’re not supposed to be able something like this without 2/3s the House of Representatives and Senate’s approval but 0 always seems to find a way to cheat the system)
