A website set up by the White House to solicit petitions has been flooded in the wake of last Friday's gun massacre at a Newtown, Conn., elementary school, and today, President Obama issued a video response to petitioners, indicating that he hears the outpouring loud and clear.
"We hear you," said Mr. Obama. "Like the majority of Americans, I believe the Second Amendment guarantees the right to bear arms...It's encouraging that many gun owners have stepped up this week to say there are steps we can take to prevent more tragedies like the one in Newtown - steps that both protect our rights and protect our kids."
"This week I called on Congress to take up and pass common sense legislation that has the support of a majority of the American people, including banning the sale of military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition clips."
The president also referenced the gun violence task force he created, chaired by Vice President Biden, that has been tasked with generating policy ideas about how to reduce gun violence.

Gun owners will then have the template for demolishing anti-gun laws. Have Arizona or Texas CCW holders relocate to Chicago and New York and sue to have their lawful status recognized irrespective of local ordinances based on similar orders regarding gay marriage.
TYo say that obama believes in the 2nd Amendment, is somebody that has NRVER read his words while an Illinois State Senator, or a U.S. Senator!
He has been anti-gun from the word GO!
Why has he decided to hold back firearms from those that have already bought and paid for them through the Civilian Marksmanship program, which is federally chartered?

We should all right in and send this man a copy of the oath of office that he has taken and supposedly will take in a few weeks. You know, the oath in which he pledges to “defend the Constitution”.

All that is really required is Art 6 para 2, The Bill of Rights, and maybe the 14th Amendment.
No need to over write someones Religion. No other burden placed upon others. Nothing.

Yes of course you are right. But that won’t help. They simply dont admit the 2A means exactly what it says. To the gun banners, the “people” in the 2nd are a different group than those mentioned in the 1st, 4th, 9th, 10th, and 17th Amendments, and the Preamble and in the Constitution itself. Their judges will not admit the 2A is as ironclad as you believe. I’m simply advocating a pathway by utilizing the power of the Courts as left currently operates.
You don't play the game by the other guys rules on their playing field and expect good results.
