Watch This UPS Driver Steal An iPad Mini And Get Caught
Kevin Smith
December 21, 2012
Earlier today a video leaked via Reddit of a UPS driver stealing a package from the front porch of a home.
The package contained an iPad mini, a Christmas present for the homeowner's daughter.
The package had been dropped off earlier by a FedEx delivery person but a UPS delivery guy came up, inspected the package and walked off with it.
The act would have gone unpunished had the homeowner not installed a camera at his doorstep.
The video has since been removed from YouTube and Vimeo, but here is a news report detailing the situation:

It is racist to show it unless they show a White guy stealing too.
UPS is FULL of UNION GOONS(Teamsters) and FedEx is NOT
One of Holder’s people just redistributing the stash.
Unioons...........short for Union Goons........
Id say that vid floating around could influence a jury of his peers. Anyway he’s joined the rolls of the Unemployed.
UniGoons. Personally I prefer Fedex over the UPS carriers anyday.
Do you have any idea how much Skittles and iced tea that mini iPad is worth on the street?
That's not fair....what about his children?
Those good jobs are hard to get.
You got that right! I see nothing in the way of a video now....
There is a video at the site now. Might not be the original one that the guy posted himself. It’s a news report.
“His wife thought he was a little geeky for installing cameras.” LOL. Thief now fired from UPS and arrested.
yep, just spreadin’ the wealth
Don't be so sure. All he has to say is that he got confused and he thought the iPad package was a UPS pick-up. Plus he was under enormous pressure because of hectic holiday deliveries. Plus the stress of his job has made him addicted to alcohol.
There's a decent chance an arbitrator will give him a pass. Crazy country, eh?
Racist video. The homeowner and the news station should be both be sued.
hum? I have never had any product shipped from Apple that didn’t require a signature.
FedEx is an incredible company to work for. I worked for them in the mid 1980s for couple years and when I left I was making $16 an hour which was a fortune back then, and I quit like a jackass for a job that paid more and I thought would last. It didn’t. One of the worst decisions of my life. Fred Smith the CEO would visit us all the time, the guy was awesome, a real hands on guy. He would hang out with us and tell stories that would crack us. Just a regular dude. I worked for about 4 companies since then and never saw the CEO from any of them. Kim Jeffreys from Poland Spring was the absolute worst. I never seen a company so horribly run in my life. But what do you expect from a guy named Kim?
His wife thought he was a little geeky for installing cameras.
Yep, that’s what my wife thought in July when I installed mine. two months later i hadn’t finished installing all the cams. One day the police came to the door and asked if i could review my footage from the night before because my neighbor had his SUV broken into. I ran the footage and sure enough there he was walking across the screen. Unfortunatly his face was hidden by a hoodie (imagine that). Anyway when I showed the tape to the wife all of a sudden it wan’t funny any more. Her first comment after seeing a criminal walking through our front yard at 4 in the morning was “you are going to install the rest of the cameras Today right?”
Hiring quotas can be a bitch.
Only white guys are crooks. Just watch commercials of someone breaking into a nice house, during the day, after mommy brings the kid in for lunch or something and has to set the alarm. Or the one where a white guy stole someone’s ID and is filling out a credit card application.
