Within an hour of the incident, there were scores of guns all over Sandy Hook Elementary. It’s simple...do you want two retired police concealed carrying or 30 armed SWAT members looking for survivors?

Apparently there are few teachers intelligent and rational enough to be teaching children.

I think DaveyB was inferring that they've schooled their kids in basic shooting skills and safety as a part of their home school activities. That's what my wife and I have done with ours.

The difference, for the record, is the uniform (and the whole government part, these will be volunteers.) Armed security or police are first targets. Retired weapons-trained “hall monitors” let’s call them, with CCW are harder to target until they shoot back. Trained staff is best.
I’m saying I want Mr. Smith, the Gym teacher, Mrs. Wilson the school principal, and Mr. Johnson the retired Air Force lieutenant to carry concealed, not uniformed guards.
