Currently there is no tourism in Egypt," grumbled Adel Anwar, the 32-year-old owner of a trinket stall.
"The new Islamist government has no experience in managing the state," he said. "The Islamists care only about their interests, not us. They forget about everyone else."
The complaint is a common one among workers dependent on Egypt's tourist industry, a key earner for the economy.

Get used to it.
I knew people (even jews for that manner) who traveled to Egypt on a regular basis for vacationing.
No friggin way is the word of the day.
How many mmmmmmillions have just been waved buh bye to ?
Well....yeah. People like wearing heads. That's how other people know who they are.
It took Capt. Obvious to figure that out.
Adel Anwar will be learning to keep his mouth shut before long.
I won’t go to Mexico either.
Funny, you’d think they’d want to see the Sphinx and Pyramids before the islamists dynamite them.
Probably won’t be too long before these morons demolish the Pyramids because they’re ‘un-Islamic’. Let them eat Korans, I say.
Except that Uncle Obama will probably be very generous with the aid.
No kidding, who wants to vacation in a place that would chop off your head or stone you?
There was some discussion of the economics during that Arab Spring nonsense.
Egypt has a very large population, and is unable to produce enough food to support itself. They lack much in the way of manufacturing and natural resources, as well. So basically they rely on tourism and foreign aid to support themselves. Without tourism, people will starve.
Scratched off my list along with Mexico and Indonesia long ago. Hellholes all of em.
Q.”How many mmmmmmillions have just been waved buh bye to ?”
A. None. Coz Obummer`s gonna send them mmmmmmillions of your hard-earned doillars for free. Yukyukyuk
Why bother when souvenir pieces will be blown to a location near you? ;-)
Don’t worry Egypt, as soon as I get a response from the State Dept telling me it is legal to bring back to the US, a Slave lawfully purchased in a Foreign Country, My Wife and I are on our way. And since Egypt just formally legalized SLAVERY, We will probably need 2. /S
In six months, they’ll be blaming the Jooooooooos...
I’m just glad I have a friendly country just across the border from me.
In Canada, a paying customer is a paying customer first and foremost.
Well Adel, you gets what you pay for. You buy in to a bunch of zealot pagans and you get pretty much what goes for the new Egypt. Adel, adjust your thinking to the 8th century and you should get along just fine.
A friend and his wife used to go to Mexico for the months of January and February. They loved it there. I would baby sit their house for them while they were away.
They haven't gone to Mexico for the last few years because they fear being kidnapped getting too, or coming from the place in Mexico they really like. - Tom
