The local town board here wanted to extend the business inspector`s power to inspect the outsides of houses and property of every homeowner in town to see if the colors of the houses were “appropriate” colors for the town and if they had anything on their property that resembled “unwanted junk” for which both offenses they could be fined or liened. So I confronted the idiot who was behind this malarkey and told him he was a no-good bum and he better not send any inspectors to trespass on my private property. He quickly said “Oh that is for businesses only-Of course he was lying because the town board meetings are recorded and televised live. The next town meeting they booed him and the board decided not to pursue the matter. NIP IT IN THE BUD.

Ironic that this is the first thread I read as I take a breather from Christmas Eve buffett preparations. Just got out from under the table (on my hands and knees) plugging the VERY SHORT cord on a crock pot into an extension cord. My sincere thanks to the government who is protecting me from long appliance cords. However, I have never been attacked by a long appliance cord, never had one snake up my arm and bite me, but crawling around on the floor at my age makes areas that I didn't know existed ache. I'd bet that I'm one of thousands dealing with too short cords today and using the potential (per the MSM) deadly workaround of the politically incorrect extension cord. Short cords, another example of government gone wild!

The EEOC hindering trucking companies from weeding out drunk drivers.
OK, so if a family gets wiped out by a drunk truck driver, would the EEOC have blood on THEIR hands?
