Christmas Eve shootings leave 7 hurt (Chicago)

7:16 a.m. CST, December 25, 2012
Seven people were hurt, at least five seriously, in shootings on the South and West sides late Monday.
Four of the injured were hurt in a single shooting on the Far South Side, and all four were taken to local hospitals in serious-to-critical condition, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

Yet after the incredibly hidden black on white crime stats, the skyrocketing black on white crime stats and a bunch of elites who are encouraging this behavior, I really no longer care. The sooner they off each other, the better.

Advocating defending our children is bad, while advocating leaving them defenseless is good?

Was Congressman Himes (Democrat-CT) a loner as a child? Was he a loser? Why, you ask? We’ll tell you why: We certainly don’t see it heroic to advocate leaving our children defenseless.

Perhaps the angriest comments came from Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.), whose district is just south of Newtown. Seething with anger, he labeled Republicans calling for more Americans to buy and carry weapons and for teachers and school administrators to carry firearms in schools “testosterone-laden individuals who have blood on their hands for making those comments.”
Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) had similarly tough words for gun rights advocates, including the National Rifle Association, which has said little since the schoolyard shooting.
“I think they’re overrated,” she said of the group Wednesday, noting that she has “big time” opposition from the NRA in their reelection races and still wins handily.
This guy Himes is obviously an asshole of the highest order. Republicans have “blood on their hands” for advocating defending our children, but democrats who would claim a “gun free zone” protects kids from being slaughtered in school is a “hero” to be admired.

When will these utopian cities learn that they’re going to have to wall themselves off from the vicious bitter clingers who import this violence from flyover country.
I lived in N. Long Beach CA for a short while in the mid 80s and my roommate and I used to sit on the balconly of our apartment on Fri, Sat nights and it was a shooting gallery.
In my little town we had one shooting about 5 years ago (on Christmas) but all those involved were outsiders. There was a murder about 30 years ago.
This is gun country here where there are probably more guns than people.
I know. I think Rahm just needs go all out and buy back all those guns from all those thugs in Chicago. Why, I just BET they’d all fight to be first in line to turn in their weapons!!

Said it once will say it again ~ Chicago’s gun problem is readily fixed by an adjustment to the calender ~ eliminate Friday and Saturday night. A return to the 5 day week will do them some good.
Newtown had a Sandy Hook disaster only once in 370 years. Chicago’s annual rate is nearly 10X that of Newtown!
“As a side note, we know how many homicides have occured this year to date, are there any numbers on how many others have only been shot and lived on to mug another day?”

Shooting victim from early November dies

A 26-year-old Chicago man who was shot in early November while sitting in his car on the Near Southwest Side has died, officials said.
Michael Morgan, of the 1400 block of West 13th Street, died at 8:37 p.m. Saturday at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
