If you live in the watch area, as well as points just east and west of the watch area, pay close attention to weather reports and warnings.

It's in the mapped area for a slight risk of severe weather:

Check www.weather.com. I’m found them to be very accurate. Your hourly report shows mid to lower 50s tonight with raining coming in tonight but clear and windy in the morning.

The front squall line about 10 minutes away from where I live, nearly on the coast.
Looks like the southern edge is starting to dissipate some.
Winds been kicking 40-50 mph all day.

First measurable snowfall of the season here in the lower Columbia Basin of Washington State. It is nice to see it. Been no shortage of snow up in the Cascades, where Steven’s Pass (my namesake) may be closed for an extended time due to trees falling on vehicles!

For weather around here, I generally go to the NWS Pendleton site, Weather Underground, and Accuweather. They all missed the intensity of the recent straight-line winds, however.

I would also keep an eye out for potential flash flooding in Northern Georgia tonight, there have been flood warnings on the northern edge of the severe weather areas.

Be safe deep south FReeps. Weird to have Christmas day red zone weather. Even here in DFW had thunderstorms. Never experienced thunder on Christmas Eve or day. Just seems flat out strange.

Snow on Christmas Day for southwest Arkansas. That is a pleasant first for me. In my hometown of Shreveport there has never been snow on Christmas. Snow from previous days, but never on the day.

A White Christmas!

That happened 10 years or so down here on Christmas day, couldn't believe it.
Had inch to inch and a half, all the neighborhood kids and some adults (me included) went wild.

Central Alabama here. The power has been up and down all day. Went off during Christmas dinner, now back on for a little bit?

Main storm line not here yet...

Looking at the radar, been doing that all day, looks like there are two distinct lines right now.
The last line is on top of us right now, very *airish* outside.
