It was accidental (except in a courtroom where a prosecutor might have been pushing the old theory, "intent follows the bullet"), but one of those shopkeepers did drop a Chicana grocery shopper about 1-1/2 to 2 miles away. She was returning home from a walk to the grocery store, when a flyer struck her in the forehead, killing her instantly. Of course it wasn't intentional -- it would have been a million-to-one shot -- but it was fatal nevertheless. ("Don't go shopping in a war zone?")
We talked about the response by the Koreatown shopkeepers. He told me that some of the rioters were throwing fire bombs (Molotov cocktails) into looted stores. One of the Koreans didn't want to shoot a rioter with a firebomb, so he shot it in his hand just after he lit the wick. The perp went from rioter to crispy critter.

Thanks for the link. Happy New Year!
He gave a definition for assault rifle. Assault Weapon seems to mean whichever guns the libs are trying to ban, this year. They aren't all rifles/carbines, some are shotguns.
He did make one error. Guns such as the Bushmaster in quesion are not "made to look like battle rifles", a battle rifle fires a full power catridge, 7.62x51 for example. FN-FAL, or it's various clones, G-3, M-14, and even the Swiss SiG Stgw-57, which fired a 7.5mm Swiss round.
LOL! Good aim, but timing is everything!
don’t know much about guns, but the gunman who killed the kids would have got an assault rifle illegally if he wanted to, right? what difference would banning legal purchases do?
