Executive Vice President of the National Rifle Association (NRA) Wayne LaPierre has come under fire for using the state of Israel as an example of how to avert school shootings, saying the country should be emulated in its policies of having armed guards in every school.
LaPierre has been speaking publicly in an attempt to deflect blame away from gun control following the Newtown school massacre, which resulted in the death of 20 young children and seven adults.
Israel had a whole lot of school shootings, until they did one thing. They said were going to stop it and they put armed security in every school and they have not had a problem since then, LaPierre said on NBCs Meet the Press.
Yigal Palmor, spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry, told the New York Daily News that the situation in Israel was fundamentally different from that in the United States.
We didnt have a series of school shootings, and they had nothing to do with the issue at hand in the United States. We had to deal with terrorism, Palmor told the newspaper.
What removed the danger was not the armed guards but an overall anti-terror policy and anti-terror operations which brought street terrorism down to nearly zero over a number of years, he said. It would be better not to drag Israel into what is an internal American discussion, he added.
There is no comparison between maniacs with psychological problems opening fire at random to kill innocent people and trained terrorists trying to murder Israeli children, Reuven Berko, a retired Israeli Army colonel and senior police officer, told the Daily News.

No, just one in Maalot.
There is no comparison between maniacs with psychological problems opening fire at random to kill innocent people and trained terrorists trying to murder Israeli children,
Let's see. Trained terrorists trying to kill school children can be deterred by armed guards, and crazy people trying to kill children can be stopped by armed guards. Nope. No comparison./sarc
Tried to find You-tube of Beneath the Planet of the Apes, Dr. Zaes and soldiers jumping up and down at mass illusions in Forbidden Zone scene, but nothing came up.
Then why the armed teachers? Eye-candy for the girls with guns crowd?
It would be better not to drag Israel into what is an internal American discussion, he added.
Then you may want to STFU.
Touché.
LOL!!!!! Classic.
The apes were able to employ logic and reason, after a fashion.
I find them delicious even the ugly ones
Bzzzzzzt! Complete logic fail. Take that man's cutlery and give him a spork.
>>We had to deal with terrorism
A terrorist is a person who walks in, wearing no uniform, and indiscriminately kills innocents to strike fear into the hearts of the survivors. Quite often he kills himself in the process.
Our lone-wolf killers do the exact same thing. It doesn’t matter if they are motivated by religion, land, or simply the desire to kill. Dead victims are dead victims. Terror is terror.
Actually, the terrorists they deal with have a beef with some legitimacy and are profilable, while our lone-wolf shooters are just bat-sh!t crazy and look just like the rest of us.

To him, the difference is the victims. In the latter, the victims are his people. In the former, they are just goyim. “Never Again” only means “Never Again To Us.”
The definition of terrorism is the use of violence by non-state actors largely against civilian targets in order to effect political change or a sociopolitical outcome desirable to those perpetrating the terror.
That’s different than someone who walks into a classroom and starts blasting away in that there’s no political agenda behind the act.
Adam Lanza, Eric Harris, Dylan Klebold or Kip Kinkel were not, to the best of my knowledge, members of the IRA, Al Qaeda, the PFLP or the Rote Armee Fraktion.
Wayne LaPierre hit a home run. He made a very logical statement that left his critics fuming and the MSM howling. Their response brings to mind the famous quote of John Calvin when referring to his sixteenth century opponents. “by their roaring, I see I have hit them right.”
They really need to get over that CR*P
And ape must never kill ape.
