A U.S. Army brigade will begin sending small teams into as many as 35 African nations early next year, part of an intensifying Pentagon effort to train countries to battle extremists. The teams will be limited to training and equipping efforts, and won't be permitted to conduct military operations without specific, additional approval from the secretary of defense.

Obama is cutting back on all things military yet he deploys more troops to both Africa and perhaps Syria, surely on that border....remember the Advisers sent to Vietnam in the beginning of that conflict? Few ever returned home as the war escalated the "Adviser" became the field commander...........Africa? Uhuru comes to mind...who asked us to become involved in their affairs...the United Nations "workers" have their own history of sex & slave trading......What ON EARTH ARE WE DOING SENDING ADVISERS TO THAT NATION?

One reason, China. This is to offset the Chinese move into Africa, though we will hear the usual human rights propaganda. Hey its good for the MI complex, next thing you know the security contractors will be getting a piece of this pie.

“No military operations...”

Think I heard that before. Some place named Viet Nam, wasn’t it? Just advisors, no war, no more troops, no problems.

Just impose gun control on ‘em, Barry. That’ll fix it.

Yup. Echo of 1961, the year I was drafted.

I wish they would stop using the word extremist and just say Islam. We need to identify the enemy first. The so called extremist are just following the tenets of Islam to the letter, nothing extreme about it.

Should not this be taken on by the Brits and French? They have had more influence in Africa than the US.

“Smallish military footprint” , “no military operations”:

Sound familiar? Somalia, right? Good intentions, and no AC-130’s, cuz that, “looks bad”.

Distribution of food, then mission creep, then Blackhawk Down, and no way to extricate our boys from the huge mess. And anti-American feelings, all around.

Same with Bengazi —”Let’s cut our losses here, let’s tie it off”.

THE AIM IS REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH, but it will end like MOGADISHU.

By all rights the European’s should be bearing more than 50% of this effort. I have mixed feelings. There is a 100% probability that Mali, Niger, Most of Nigeria, Will all be taken over by Islamic extremists and their warlords if the West does not act, but it looks like the only country that will shoulder the effort is the US. It puts us back, eventually, into a shooting war, because the Nations threatened just will not be able to come up with a stable non-corrupt govt or Army to do the job. We don’t need another war.
The European’s have the most to loose..further loss of control of borders means more illegals. Loss of control of those territories mean loss of natural resources..oil and uranium. Also it means more drug smuggling, which is already happening.

whatever the global elite see as a hurdle in their quest for absolute world wide domination, the obozo and team are obviously willing to accommodate their orders to sick the US military on any and all obstacles to aid in the elite's quest. And it doesn't cost them a dime but it costs us billions. If I were in the US military today........... I would refuse to belong to the US military under this POS in the WH and the spineless PsOS in the congress. If I were in a military today, its sole purpose would have to be to honor God and our founding fathers by strictly and fully reinstating the original Constitution of the United States and enforcing its laws.

So they are going to continue their successful Libyan operation to 35 more African nations. Better hire some more ambassadors.

What are we doing helping Africa secure itself? I don’t care about their countries. Not enough that a young American should die over it. And not eough to borrow money from China to pay for.

Every dime spent there should be spent on securing American school children.

BHO2 is not sending our military advisers to that continent to prevent the spread of Islam. Far from it.

BHO2 has been an avowed Marxist-Leninist since his days at Occidental College. He is an atheist, and only a Muslim or Christian when it is politically expedient.

He used the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) to destroy whatever emerging capitalist markets existed in North Africa and the Middle East, an aim also of the MB. We will see millions starve in the near future, as nations like Egypt, which used money from tourists and the sale of natural gas to Israel, to buy food on the international markets. They no longer have that income.

So, we will probably find ourselves butting heads with the Chinese in Africa, who are interested in opening up commercial relationships now to provide raw material to their home industries, and later use the existing business relationship for international political maneuvering.

The Muslims will spread out over Africa like a plague of locusts.

BHO2 is a dangerous man and not just to us.

Europeans at 50%? I don’t remember ANY American colonies in Africa. I don’t remember us causing ANY of the problems there. Somalia was a soviet client state. Yet, we decided to clean up the mess for some nutty reason.

Europeans at 50%? How about Europe doing 100% of the work? Why is it a problem for Americans? I don’t remember ANY American colonies in Africa. I don’t remember us causing ANY of the problems there. Somalia was a soviet client state. Yet, we decided to clean up the mess for some nutty reason.

Id honestly rather see the Chinese all over Africa than us or Europe. They want to agressively mine, drill, cut timber, farm crops, build dams, develop water, etc.
The Chinese brook absolutely no BS from the moslems if they want to hurt commerce. Heck, Chinese men are also happy to find wives there. And the Chinese don’t believe in global warming either.

All we send to Africa is female college students who want to teach conflict resolution and condom use for 6 months, and solar powered laptops. Don’t believe me, spend a day or two on a college campus and ask kids about working in Africa. We send kids with no useful skill set.
If Africa counted on us for economic development, they’d be screwed.
